Sihásapa/Lakota (Blackfoot Sioux) not to be confused with the algonquin speaking Blackfoot from the Canadian plains and rockies. Sioux is the word given to them by the French, which comes from the Ojibwe term for them meaning "little snakes".

I get coming into this time, but after living with the Blackfoot, I think… keeping their true heritage is honor. But if it can bring some younger people back I guess there is some benefit. Just… haven’t we taken enough from the original people?
