The authorities in Fort Worth, Texas terrorized my family because I was helping advocate for my indigenous cousins. I thought that with the privilege of being a citizen, that I could hopefully help. My Papa is FrenchIndigenous. He came from Oklahoma & we are Choctaw & Shawnee. The authorities tried to have me institutionalized like I was unstable for peacefully protesting- they sent out CPS who threatened me to stop writing about politics and to get off of Facebook. The courts here appointed an attorney who told me that if we fought the court, they’d keep our children longer. It’s been hell. Yet, despite the attacks- I’m proud that our family stuck together through the assault on our peace- and that ultimately, when we join our ancestors in the Sky, that we stood on the right side of history. Nothing can steal that from our family.

Steve Ruedas correct...they were taken from them...when one refused, because he needed it for hunting to feed his family and he didn't understand English like most of them, he was shot in the head. Immediately after that first shot, other soldiers began firing and killing the Sioux. Babies were crying near their dead mothers, and soldiers would pick them up and toss them into the air, as if they were little piglets , and shoot them. This is what happened when the soldiers took their guns. This was told to me by Chief Sitting Bull when I was a very young child. Chief Sitting Bull, had many near death experience, since he was very close to the Great Spirit, God. He died in 1965 and is in Heaven with God...:-). Not many knew Chief Sitting Bull was alive, since he lived in hiding. Banks knew and also met me as a child. I got the chance to see him again after so many, many years had passed and wish I could have spent more time with my brother...:-). We are all related..:-) It's important to stay in Prayer...for God, holds the most power over evil...and death is only a transition...into a better life for all eternity....:-)

@@DebbieTomkoSUNSHINE Sitting bull was born in 1831. Whatwas that about him telling ye something in the 20th century. Like sure, ye speak good words, but let's try not to spread shite like this.
@DebbieTomkoSUNSHINE4 жыл бұрын
@@MACBarry-bv2xm I'm sorry you and your family weren't involved...:-( You see I speak the Truth. I also knew and met Banks through Chief Sitting Bull, when I was very young. I did get to see Banks, just before his death. He knew also that Chief Sitting Bull was alive and well in the early sixties. I was born in 1960. Chief Sitting Bull was given an Indian burial in 1965, when he died of old age, I was there and witnessed it, along with others. He used to say he was older than dirt. Chief Sitting Bull wrote a letter in his language , before his death, and expected a rider on a horse to deliver it. He didn't know the times had changed and we had the U.S. Postal service. That was the very first thing I learned about. Chief Sitting Bull lived in hiding after the attack on the battle of little big horn . The Sioux tribe banished him and Crazy horse , for fear of retaliation on their people. They both seperated, to keep their blood line going. Long ago, Chief Sitting Bull, along with a few other young Chiefs children escaped the Trail of Tears. A Long with them they carried what they could. Important documents, two flags, 3 maps, etc. My family had these . They were stolen in the seventies just before the stand at wounded knee, when warriors left me...:-( I'm the only person who can read the maps, because I had Chief Sitting Bull change them in case they were ever stolen. The original flag, made during the Trail of Tears, for the Sioux, Cherokee, and Navajo, (the Chiefs children that escaped) was beautiful...it was a large Eagle head with beautiful blue stars circling it. White man saw it and got the idea for the U.S. flag from its image, but added the striped and left the Eagle off. Chief Sitting Bull would not let them use the flag, until they proved their word . One child did not make it during the escape from the Trail of tears, and was carried until they reached the Sioux territory, where they were buried with their possessions for their tribe. You see, Chief Sitting Bull, was a very Holy man, very close to the Great Spirit, God , and had many, many near death experiences, and vissions. I am also like that. I dedicated my life to God when I was two and a half years old and also have had many many near death exoeriences. Chief Sitting Bull spoke very little English, and his language had no translation to English words . Therefore, he was allowed to show me everything. Have you ever seen the movie. "The Green Mile"? Watch it, then maybe you can understand. God is the most powerful. Now I will tell you something else , my last near death experience, while in Heaven with Chief Sitting Bull, and with God's permission, I was allowed to return., to warn everyone. We will not survive without that clean water in the Missouri River, clean water flows under it to all parts of the world, just like blood flows through our veins through out all parts of our body ....without it, we don't survive. Now back in 1980, I gave Jani Lane music I wrote for an album, under the condition he Never stay in any motel/Hotel with the word INN in the name. He agreed, and wrote it down. I wrote music for him in the seventies, so I got to the point where I didn't check his lyrics. Anyway, that night he asked me when the earth would end and I told him April 2031, which he titled the one song. Now keep in mind, I am not a psychic , I make educated guesses based on factual information on what is happening to the earth. Free Will of man, changes this daily. Due to the Free Will of man, this date could be a lot sooner...:-( You see, all the government protected lands, are protected for a reason. To protect the earth from major destruction. Now that it has been sold here and there and they are digging, etc. look at what is happening everywhere. Earthquakes in different places. This will cause a chain reaction, and major destruction as it was explained long, long, long ago.....as it was passed down by the Great Spirit, God himself, to those chosen to live what is known as the United States, to Protect the Earth. The Native Americans. At Wounded Knee, the Sioux did not want to, dud not understand why, but did put down their guns. Like I said, there was one man who refused and there was a struggle. He needed his long rifle for hunting for food for his family . He was killed, then the other soldiers opened fired and killed all the women, men, and children. They the the babies in the air, as if they were piglets and shot and killed them in the air...:-( They were all murdered that day and their murders went to Hell for it.....:-( On earth we have God's Law, the Ten Commandments , very similar to Native American law. If you sin, ask for forgiveness, and try to help others, save lives, do anything that you can to make up for those sins. The place to be in death us Heaven. I've escourteda few into Hell, and I would not want to see anyone go there, it's that bad. People have this idea that they can end up in He'll with their buddies and party it up or take it over and then take over Heaven. Ha, they are in for a huge nightmare. Each suffers alone, for all eternity....that is forever ..

I came for the topic. I left with respect for some of the best hip hop I've ever heard.
@HunterLvyiXIII5 жыл бұрын
When hip hop and rap first began its purpose was to heal the hearts of those that heard it, as well as those who performed and wrote it; it's other purpose was to draw attention to the issues of the time that needed fixing. Over time though, it became corrupted by the worship of money and fame, and the gospel of the dollar. Violence against the same people, as well as greater violence in general was introduced, and it lost its way. Hip-hop and rap can be good, it just depends on the song. I am so grateful for the songs that these artists are putting out, going back to the roots, returning to messages of hope, love, and drawing attention to things that matter. This is a very powerful song, I'm happy that people from all walks are able to come together with this great music. Blessings to you Jennifer

Don't let that white mentality get to you. Don't be fooled by the color of our skin. "Oh, you're lighter than me so you can't be native", that's a seed that was planted to make our people pick at each other. We're not enemies because we come from different nations. We are all of this land. I'm a coastal native and I came out light skin and light green eyes, the green eyes shows up in every generation of my family in two or three of us and my daddy was a half breed, my mama is full and I came out lighter than my cousins but that doesn't mean that I don't carry the same blood. Get out of here with that "you white" bullshit. It has no place here.

@@PrettyBoyKii 👏👏👏 I'm probably the most mixed person I know, can't tell you how disenfranchised I've felt my entire life being alienated from every community I belong to for not being ____ enough, not being Hopi enough, not being Samoan enough, not being Mexican enough etc etc etc. 100% that belief in mixed blood being less-than is a belief forced upon us by the powers that be to inspire division because they know that unity is power.

Your family was right to run. They knew evil was coming for you. Your family Protected the children from the evil of the residential schools. Thank God some got away. I am so sorry that so many children were taken, abused, tortured, murdered, and the ones left standing have lost their language, culture, identity, roots, and only know the experience of inter-generational trauma. However, the First People of Turtle Island have always been a strong people. They will always persevere when evil comes calling.
