Long term viewer of this channel - completely love what you guys do! The only thing I'd change is you don't need to keep punching the value of the item in the titles or comment on it in the vid - what you do is HIGH END and already well out of the reach of what most of us can afford. I watch you guys because I love the vibe, love the work, and you talk give hints and tips that smaller jobs can work with (like the one about not leaving the piece too long after it sets before flattening, from this episode). I get a little turned away from having the value of it stated in just about every vid - be proud of your work and know that you aren't judged on the price of your output, but the phenomenally high quality. Well done!
@BlackForestWoodCo
@BlackForestWoodCo Жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael! We get that, but the only reasons we include price a lot is because it's always the #1 question when we don't, and although a lot of our stuff is more pricy we are still selling a product so we like to say how much it is for future clients so they can roughly know how much their product will be. Totally get where you're coming from though!

@@paulgajewski5926 absolutely agree. I'm glad they include the price. Why be secretive. Let's not forget this channel is also great PR for potential new clients for them so it's useful that people have a vague idea the price these projects can be!

I worked in the power quality industry for most of my professional life. One thing we used in clean rooms, computer rooms and anywhere you would be working with electronics are air deionizers. They worked great to reduce static electricity. You were right when you said it was the resin that was causing the static. Basically it is a Van de Graaff generator. If you go to an educational science centre, like the one in Toronto, they do to demonstration of static energy by getting someone with long hair to touch a Van de Graaff generator and then their hair stands up. That is what you are doing when you cut the resin. Same thing happens when you use one of those plastic mats under your desk at work and then you go back and forth with the plastic wheels on your chair. Every time you go back and forth you are building up static electricity. If you need to use one of those, go with the ones that have grounding wires. So if it is a real big issue, you might want to get an air deionizer. They are not that expensive anymore and it should help.

Again stunning work ... I hope we also get to see the seats :) It doesn't help the dust collection in that the port is at a right angle to the flow of the cuttings coming from the blade ... you'd think that on a saw that costs so much they'd at least get that right, and also give it enough power to do a single cut as well!!

Though it’s my personal opinion, I have to comment; for me putting a solid stain on an expensive hardwood like oak or Cherry has to be a sin. All that natural grain and color covered up, is just sad. Don’t get me wrong, I love the deep black, just wished it was on something like pine. As a master printer I used to mix a lot of colors. Our darkest and most popular black was what we call a “BLUE BLACK”. The shadows and reflections of the deep BLUE BLACK was stunning and very popular.
