A Nazis propaganda film from 1942, with original dubbed sound (i.e., dubbed at the time). This film was processed by Blackhawk Films some time in the 1970s I think, and is in 16mm film format with density stripe optical sound.
It covers the earlier fast German advance into Western Europe, but I suspect it was published a little later...perhaps 1942/43.
It is rather crude propaganda, with blatant suggestions that the army is invincible, the invasion of other countries is welcomed by their peoples, and the allies are dishonourable. All teamed up with stirring music and an insistent narration. I guess "good" propaganda should go unnoticed...this may have been swallowed in 1942...hard to believe it would be taken seriously by 1944.
This is an historical document which gives insight into the events of nearly one hundred years ago...it is obviously not a call to invade Benelux countries today, or offer any support for the Nazis regime of the time.
This was digitised frame by frame from the original film at a resolution of 1929x1080.
