Dr Lim, thanks for the generous sharing. Dermatologist seldom shares so much in order to protect their own business... you are different.. 😀 I have been following your videos and find it very useful even I took longer time to digest the information. I wonder those product which the brand is mentioned is not sponsoring your blog/ video etc? As a layman, we just go out and get the stuff without bringing our magnifying glass to look for BHA, Retinol etc etc in the small prints... so your mentioning if the brand name is much easier.. but then we thought if those are sponsors... 😅 Thank you once again , appreciated .
@leahsegura66144 жыл бұрын
If a product is sponsored he would be required to disclose such information. Therefore, you can assume the mentioned products are not sponsored and he is simply offering information on products he knows to be effective.

I used to use a needle for sometimes up to an hour on my face getting all my blackheads as a teen, its so satisfying and it gets it all out. I always used the pointy end and pressed flat on my skin poking into a blackhead to be able to take them out. probably safer your way! aha
@michaelx6974 жыл бұрын
Haha I've done it and I've heard some of these people saying it's dangerous for your skin if your not a professional. I used to do it and it's quite satisfying but I was wayyy too aggressive lol and ended up with a mess, now my mom does it because she's much better, no bleeding, she actually uses the needle well and gets all the sebum out without causing me great pain lmao.

I don’t exactly have blackheads. I have colorless heads (look like a tiny pimple but they’re not), and they produce white substance when extracted. I don’t wear makeup and all my skin products are noncomedogenic, and designed for acne prone skins. They never stop forming 💔

How to prevents acne on oily face and which one is best face wash for acne on oily face
@9999_damage4 жыл бұрын
I've always heard an exfoliant like SA should only be used on the face no more than 3x per week. I'm using it in a wash, should I use it every day?
@9999_damage4 жыл бұрын
@Meraki Gemini I think it will depend on the person's skin concerns, what type of vehicle the exfoliant is in, and how well the person tolerates the ingredient. I use salicylic acid for more than one skin concern on my face including acne, blackheads, and oily skin. I also only use it in a wash vehicle. I've had no problem using it once a day, every day.

I've been using Tretinoin for 4 months now. I don't think it does help with blackheads that much. I've heard people use BHA in the morning in a form of facial wash/toner. Some people can't use both in the same routine that's why they use BHA in the morning. Then at night tretinoin.

Dear Dr Lim, I suggest you to review inorganic sunscreens with titanium dioxide, pigmentary titanium dioxide and pigmentary iron oxides. Avene Mineral cream 50 ml and Mineral lotion 100 ml use those components and I am very happy using them. Their Mineral fluid use titanium dioxide (11,4 %) and zinc oxide (14,6 %). I easily remove them all three with lipid based cleansers like Avene XeraCalm cleansing oil 400 ml or Tolerance extreme cleansing lotion 200 ml. I stopped using organic sunscreens as they leave yellow stains after washing because of avobenzone. I believe that titanium dioxide is excellent and underestimated filter and that by varying the size of particles and its concentration in formula it can protect against not only UV but also VL and IR. White cast is reduced by pigmentary iron oxides. Complete sunblocks like camouflaging facial foundations or surgical foundations contain no water and they contain the large amounts of titanium dioxide.
