Blackie always spoke WAY ahead of his time...and SO far ahead of his age. Every early interview, it's astounding what he knew about the record industry. It's like he was a 50-year old veteran speaking from a 29-year old. Just blessed he gave his sweat, blood and tears to heavy metal. Thank you Blackie.

Yep. I discovered WASP with the 'Last Command' album, and heard their first LP next, so at first I thought meh, it's ok. But over the years, those early songs became huge favourites. I Wanna Be Somebody & Love Machine are regulars for any compilation CD I make today. Not everyone likes 80s metal & hard rock, but for those of us that do, WASP will always be one of the best. I think it was their light-hearted tongue-in-cheek approach that set them apart. They were having fun, and you knew it!

I was soooo fortunate to have seen them when they first came out on mtv back in tha day. I was still in grade school and I was instantly taken with them. I'm still a huge fan. God bless Chris and Blackie with their health issues. 🙏 🙏🙏
