Sent Pete a text and told him I will be in Nashville tomorrow and to let me know if he needs anything. I really like Abbate Y La Mantia as a company. I am really tempted to pick that one up. My grandfather always said, "Good friends and good health are worth a million dollars." We do have to remind ourselves that sometimes those negative people might be dealing with a mental illness or a personality disorder. That is never an excuse. It is their responsibility to seek treatment. Then there are those that do not want to take the steps to move toward a healthier life, those are the people I want to give a shake. Good points Todd. When I was talking about toxic folks I was referring to folks in the latter part of your communication. I know as I allowed myself to be this way for a time. It makes you and everyone around you miserable when you're this way:)

Great shave. Yes enjoy life, the hardest thing I've had to do is stay away from my mom as she's being toxic. It was hard but life is so much happier without the drama and negativity. Nice shave Chris! I might like this soap just for the fact that it will bring back memories of my youth. If the name wasn't trademarked the could have called this Kool or any of a number of menthol cigarettes. I totally agree with your sermon and perhaps because we are a similar age feel the same way. I don't know if it's because when you hit this age you realize your mortality, but I've been on a creative bender for a couple of years now. I've made more artwork and crafts in two than I've done in the last ten combined. I'm glade to hear your mom's doing better and I'm hoping Pete will follow suit.

Yesterday Pete sent out an email to his customers concerning the slow shipping times and in it he explained why: "My immune system attacked my kidneys in early June and it’s been a rough ride since then." This is some serious stuff, and I'm really hoping he pulls through this problem. I'm also rooting for your mom Chris as I know how miserable back problems can be, having popped a disk in my back years ago. I believe Karve refers to SB as solid bar, and that Blackland SB1 plate is probably how I will go with the ERA when I order one.

Wonderful looking lather from that hard soap, I have found some hard triple milled soaps need a bit work to get the lather rich and creamy. 100% Unc. Generally I find it takes a little work with these triple milled soaps, but you can get them where you want them eventually:) I'd say the 1 is in the same realm of the others but it's hard to say without using them side by side.

I suppose it's OK to slighlty mangle a name that seems to be written in TWO languages. Abbate is an Italian surname, y = and in Spanish and should be pronounces as a separate sound; La Mantilla is also Spanish. It all very confusing.
