The Good Lord got me up this morning at 3 am Hawaiian Standard so I could purchase the Pisgah Appalachian Trail Magic edition set with Kodiak base, aftershave, EDP, and exclusive brush turned in wine aged barrel woods with Murphy & McNeil coin in the base. Kudos to you Chris for for being the first to spike my interest in this and to the Lord for waking me up in time (without alarm) to get this exclusive drop.

I do have 3 GEM razors. 2 of them were kindly gifted by forum members in the US including 10 Gem Stainless blades. I only use these razors on Monday and so far on my 3 GEM blade. 1st blade lasted 7 shaves then 2nd 10 shaves and the last blade lasted me up to 17 shaves...that's because I strop the blade on Chromium Oxide Polish then on leather....Quite a nice change from the normal DE. Another great video Chris...no bubbles, no troubles...

I used my GEM MicroMatic Clog-Pruf a few nights ago. What an excellent razor, and the GEM Stainless blades last forever; I'm probably pushing 20 shaves and it's still smooth sailing. The only single edge I've used that I didn't overly enjoy was the Feather Weight - it's pretty mild - but for $5...great shaver!

I loved the scent on Pisgah! Black Mountain Shaving has never made a scent I don't like yet. I agree m&m is under rated as an artisan and as a marketplace.

I have never used a GEM type razor, but I do find the old vintage GEMS to be pretty cool looking. I might grab one sometime if the price is good and it's in good condition. I've got so many DE razors, blades, and shavettes that it wouldn't make sense to pick up a new razor type to me. Have a good one! Steve

Haven't tried a Gem blade yet, have it on the "to-do" list. The only single edge I've ever tried is a straight or a shavette, with mixed results...might have to try that Pisgah, tho...

Never used a Gem style razor. Got the leaf at Christmas and the Twig shortly afterwards. These brought me to the wet shaving community and was given a few de rockwell's as well, tried these and still use one every once in a while.

Mike, welcome to the wetshaving community! I love my Gem style razors. If you're looking to try one, vintage Gems & Ever-Readys are commonly available and are inexpensive versus new. Smaller numbers of blades can be obtained cost effectively through Try-a-blade (US) or The Copper Hat (Canada), or free through enablers on your preferred Facebook group. I'd avoid the carbon steel version as they are prone to rusting unless you're into blade maintenance.
