I've hooked this adapter up with my iPad Pro and made a keynote presentation a green bg. Looks great for my titles, animations, etc. I've also tried to use the iPhone to use Facetime as a video source. The problem with that is that you don't get the Facetime audio via the HDMI cable, so I switched to my iPad and used the mini jack to get the audio into the Atem Mini's Mic 2.

Hey Daniel! yes you're right it's come a long way in the year since I published this video - time for an update I think!!
@yorkgunther2 жыл бұрын
Hi both Daniel and Tim! Speaking of using Filmic as a clean HDMI out, with Filmic being the only camera/photo app that I know of that presently supports Apple’s Center Stage, there is whole new reason to use the lightning-HDMI adaptor in conjunction with the ATEM Mini switchers. The current restriction of course is that one would need to use the front-facing camera (12mp, 2x zoom) on one of the newer iPads supporting Center Stage. But it’s quite intriguing to have an automated PTZ camera in the form of an iPad now available for an ATEM setup..

Great informative video chum, thanks for the info Tim. Maybe you could do a little test if you have the adaptors at your disposal. Using the results of this video to start with, but also adding the Apple (normal) Camera kit (with USB port) to the lightening port on the HDMI kit, to see if you can use the USB port accepting audio from a audio interface usb output. This may solve the audio latency based on the fact that the iPhone is now being used as the camera with its images sent down HDMI to the Atem mini but it’s audio being delivered to it from the audio interface, and making this camera the main audio feed through the Atem Mini. You can also use the spare lightening port on the normal camera kit for powering up from a charger etc. would be interested in the watching your results!

Jeremy Straus So I found the solution, I just purchased another lighting adapter that doesn’t require an app to set up and it worked perfectly, also if you have an iPhone X or newer I recommend you to buy the ProMovie or MoviePro app, they output a full and clean signal to your atem, plus you are able to control white balance, exposure, Shutter and much more
@chrisj56434 жыл бұрын
Paul G. Im not exactly sure but it’s very similar to a dslr that outputs HDMI I’ll say like 5 to 8 frames, most of the cameras that don’t have sdi output have a delay from around 4 to 9 frames, you won’t be able to tell the difference if you have other cameras with hdmi output

@TimSimpson2 жыл бұрын
There is an inevitable delay in HDMI encoding/decoding. HDMI channel 1 on the encoder is designed the work much quicker and will show less delay. The phone is slower encoding as it’s done in software as well. Solutions: get a mic like the k96 from LensGo to go direct to the ATEM where you can add a delay to correct latency. Use something like OBS on the computer to correct latency

@TimSimpson4 жыл бұрын
when you connector a camera out to a PC over USB. the camera is emulating a webcam signal - this is what you would do when feeding into OBS for example. The ATEM mini is specifically HTML in, and so there is no way to direct connect this. You could possibly locate an appliance that converts webcam > hdmi, but this type of thing is ususally more expensive that they're worth, and end up compromising signal quality and latency

Oi. Filmic pro funcionará no iphone para fornecer saída HDMI limpa e eu acredito que gira para a tela alta, mas quem realmente gostaria de fazer isso! : D

I was wondering if changing the picture ratio in FiMLic Pro setting on the iPhone might get rid of those black bars. Seems to be a screen ratio problem.

Sadly no, because eh it’s just straight screen mirroring

Why don't you post a link to the app you're using? (Or at the very least spell it out so people download the right app). I can't understand what you're saying. is it Filmit Pro, Filmic Pro, etc. Post the link please.
