I believe the extra plate will be for attaching other accessories like the focus motor from what I've seen, so it may not be a sold solution. Hopefully dji comes out with a solution that can accommodate both

Kasper Dalkarl on the front of the mounting plate there is a hole you can connect the bracket to. Depending on your lens I would use the short rod.

Right on! I was thinking the same thing regarding the riser plate. I've been getting the A7, Ursa Mini and Red EPIC on the Ronin S so I KNEW it was going to work lol. Cant wait to get my Pocket4K and throw it on!

What about a v-lock and a moniter, or would that become too heavy? Or is it possible to somehow mount the v-lock to the ronin, so th weight doesn't become extra on the ronin stabilizer?

I tried this and my ronin-s doesn't balance correctly with the bmpcc4k... the horizon stays slightly off. I'm about to post a video on my channel (probably tomorrow) addressing this issue. Anyone else have this issue?

hey guys! nice work! quick questions: so, you've mounted the Pocket 4K without a cage of course and are probably recording to a C-Fast card on this type of set up, yeah? Have you tried mounting it with a 8sinn/ SmallRig/Tilta cage at all? If so, could you please upload a video with that setup and weight anytime soon? I'm asking because, in order to record straight to an External HardDrive (usb-c port) or even to have a follow focus and what-not's rigged up, the use of a cage is kinda primal isn't? I mean, obviously there are ways to mount and rig accessories without it, but just asking you know. Let me know if you have an answer or came up with a solution! Thanks!

Now that the weebill and crane 3 have come out I’m very interested in trying to adapt some side handle parts to make the ronin S have a similar design. Can you mount that side handle upside down and over center (joystick side) somehow? I think the weebill is the perfect design and will be spending a lot of time making the Ronin S have that same function. Another idea would be taking a dual handle grip add on, positioning it so that one of the arms is sticking out over the joystick side and then removing the other arm that would hit the ground during low mode altogether.

BigPileOfWesley we are waiting on a solution from DJI but that’s taking time... There is a brand called PD movie that makes great follow focus, even MOZA are working on follow focus that can be used on other systems, that will be out in a month

That's not how that plate is meant to be used. If you notice, when you mount it like that, the camera sit a little crooked on the plate. Not a proper solution.

If you have the smallrig cage you shouldn't need this. I have the half cage and am able to mount the Ronin plate slightly off center and it works great.

I would probably not say that. The M is a first generation gimbal and is somewhat hard to use. For the BMD Pocket 4k I would go with the Ronin-s and get an extra handle and save some money =)
