Super in depth guide here! Sony A7iii user here I am contemplating selling my A7rii to buy this camera. I have shifted a lot more into video with my business as of late and I feel this camera is a must have now-a-days!
@jadoon7025 жыл бұрын
DidsLive I believe you should sell your A7rii AND your A7iii INCLUDING ALL YOUR SONY Lenses THEN buy a LEICA digital camera with Leica R lenses for photography if you’re running a business . When you sell your last g master sony lens buy a BMPCC4K and use your Leica lenses on it for proper results ! If you want to upgrade to the EF Mount bmpcc6K model , then buy a few canon L series lenses and for photography get a new Canon Full Frame Mirrorless Camera..... u will be way happier with that decision

I don't care AF because I prefer manual even though I own A7iii. So I've been following BMPCC4k and you video covered almost everything. I think the HDMI output is only 4K30. Internally yes, on CFAST cards you can do 4K60 RAW. To the USBC drive, the best you can get is 4:1 RAW 4K60, and using the T5 that does not handle the speed for a long time. I did record 4K24 RAW 4:1 for the 68 minutes of space I had on my T5 500 though.

How long it lasts the battery while in the lowest quality possible?
@justinjackson36656 жыл бұрын
The built in battery will give at most 45 minutes or so. Unfortunately the camera just shuts off with no warning, so you have to be proactive if you plan on using LPE6 batteries, essentially about every 1/2 hour swap it out. Better to build your own 18650 module or buy something like the CORE battery shown in this video, though for the price of the CORE, you could build a simple 4x18650 power pack and get 10x the recording time with quick-swap battery packs.
@jorgefpramos6 жыл бұрын
The thing is, I'm looking to replace my Panasonic G7 (use it to record my orchestral concertos; I'm a composer) because I need something to record over 30m with good quality. The main problem that I'm finding is that the GH5 is too expensive for me now, so I was thinking about the BMPCC 4K but it seems that having the recording limit of 30m or just the battery life of the BM 4K is almost the same thing...
@justinjackson36656 жыл бұрын
@@jorgefpramos You can definitely record for hours if you get a better battery system. Like I said, I did a little soldering with a 4x18650 battery holder, and with 4 NCR panny batteries, I get about 2.5 hours of recording in one go. It looks a little janky, but it works. And I just bring along 8 more batteries so after about 2 hours, I stop, power off, replace batteries, and go again. Easy to put together, cheap to buy batteries. Get the benefit of a fantastic camera too!
