Especially if you’re black, there’s a reverence there since historically Pakistanis have always loved and admired the West Indies Cricket team, which is entirely black.

Thats not true at all. Black people are much more safe in America than alot of Arab countries. Sure White americans may not like us but their is no modern day slavery and their are laws to protect us. In North Africa and Middleast Africans are at great danger at all times. Do you watch the news that comes from their often? I am not too sure about South Asia but i do know for sure African students in India are discriminated against regularly. Pakistan is the only country i seen so far that doesnt straight up dsicriminate bases on race. Most of the discrimination there seems to be religion based like blasphemy or Homophobia related. But on the other hand Arabs are very anti-black! This whole narrative that all muslims countries are better than America for black people is false and dangerous actually.
