I took a road trip from Cali to Florida during the summer of 2012. It was around 3 am when I was coming up to the Arizona New Mexico boarder. I pulled off Interstate 10 and drove about a half mile down an empty utility road. I turned off the car lights, got out, laid down, and just stared up into the sky while listening to this song with headphones on. Seeing the Milky Way on that clear summer desert night with this song playing will always be one of my most memorable experiences.

@@fraai it's definitely something everybody who has the opportunity to experience should do at least once. I grew up in Cali and even driving out to Joshua Tree wasn't as clear as the Arizona - New Mexico sky when you're in the middle of nowhere on a clear summer night. If you do it, make sure to get as close to a new moon phase as possible so the moon doesn't obscure the night sky :)

I prefer music without lyrics, because songs with lyrics tell someone else's story & emotions, but with this... you can just let your mind wander in any direction & create your own story or lyrics to the beat & just drift into another level of conciousness. It's amazing.

Its songs like this that make me wonder what old composers would think of our modern form of music. I personally would like to believe that they would be awestruck by the ability people have to make this stuff from their computer. No longer is there a need for entire orchestras to convey a message of scale, it can all be done by almost anybody who has the drive to do so, meaning that there is an abundance of incredible sounds to be heard. Its humbling that we live in a time in which this is possible.

Goldie did a documentary where he composed an orchestral piece. The crossover between different styles of composition is very interesting. I think classical composers would be enthralled with the modern technology that we have in order to compose and manipulate sounds electronically.

I have used this song to study all night for college exams, prep for my job interview, enjoyed epic night time drives, hosted memorable parties with friends, cried when I've failed, , dreamed about the future, surfaced from the bottom, pushed beyond my limits, achieved the impossible, and there is still so much more to do. This really let's you get to enjoy being yourself and it doesn't even need a single word. Gosh, when you take a second to look back, it wasn’t as bad at you thought it was, was it? Now we got bills to pay, we are stressed to find careers that we will have to do the rest of our lives. Life is so strange and we are just borrowing its resources until we reunite with our old form. We all belong to the universe. Once you start to realize what’s truly important in life, you live a more fulfilled life. Realizing that this life is not permanent helps to remove some unnecessary stress and/or pain. Coming back to music like this is crazy now that I’ve gotten older and have been out of the family house for some time now. Listened to all of Blackmills music ever since 9th grade. I’m 25 now and have learned so much and realized Blackmill was one of the small few, comforting peaceful things I could acquire during teenage years. Now I know how toxic my family was and Blackmill helped me get through that, without even realizing at the time. This music was vital to me. I always pictured of something grander. Blackmill gave me a sense of that and I don’t know how to ever thank them for what they don’t know they have done. Peace and love

It evokes emotion from me, probably for a different reason. I went on a blackmill marathon when I had an extremely profound experience on LSD. I think the music may have swayed it to so spiritual, but every time I hear blackmill now, my hairs all over my body stand up and I get goosebumps, remembering the love I felt, from the music, from the world, from my friends who were miles away, I felt love from every corner of the universe. (Fuck, I almost cried describing that)

Why isn't this on Spotify? How are you so good at making music?? HOW?! I am incredibly glad I decided to check your KZbin channel and found songs you seem to only have on here. I can't wait to see what you put out next, your music is so beautiful.

I listen to this at home. It makes me feel satisfied to have the home I have, the coffee next to me, as well as my laptop. I love my home. I'll only leave it when the time comes, but for now... I will remain in my home. This is where I belong. This is my hope and where it lies... this is where my future begins. This is where my past is burnt, and the present acknowledged. This is the peak of all emotions I will experience, in my home. Home is where the heart is, and that's a beautiful place indeed.

AboodDoesStuff Shoot him twice with 2 bullets instead of Hitler? Hitler killed himself. 2 bullets, 2pac. 2pac got shot with bullets. Rick Ross made a song called 2pac back. ...Rick Ross also made a song called Illuminati. Rick Ross' name has 2 R's and 2 S's. Rick Ross, Hitler, and 2pac all have 2 syllables each. 2pac's back. 2pac's black. Black...mill... Blackmill also has 2 syllables. blackmill...uminati 2pac is blackmill; blackmill is the illuminati. How did Rick Ross know all of this? He's... the all-seeing eye... I have 2 eyes. I am god.

Oussama CH KittoChan9 'drop wasn't real dubstep' people who are so used to 'dance/club' EDM that they forget how to appreciate instrumental electronic. So many people I know value a song not by it's melodic content, but it's 'dance-ability'...

I really enjoyed Blackmill's work, and he's one of the more prominent chill producers, at least he's got us, a dedicated following. Would rather have that than a mindless crowd that screams when the artist changes his style.

This artwork always makes me smile. Not only because it is aesthetically pleasing, but also because I see a deeper meaning in it. If it were to be a picture, it must have been taken from an airplane at the right moment when the plane passes through a space where the moon gives way to the light of the sun. There are times where all we see is darkness. But as long as we keep moving, we eventually see the light. The light that was always there but hidden.

when i listen to this song, it makes me feel a lot of things, and at first i really didn't like the title because i felt that this song stood for being part of the world, experiencing something new every second. but then i thought about it, what if it's not about the feeling of being comfortable at home, but instead it represents the idea that you are your home, and only when you accept your own existence are you really home. in a sense, it's only those who always stay in one place that never make it home. anybody have opinions?
