Due to my social anxiety, I've never really had many friends. I don't remember what it was for, but a long time ago in like fifth grade I had to write down who my best friend was for some assignment. I've always had a good relationship with my brother, and I remember asking if I could write down him as my best friend. For some reason or another, this song has always reminded me of that moment.

Listen up and I'll tell a story About an artist growing old Some would try for fame and glory Others aren't so bold Everyone, and friends and family Saying, "Hey! Get a job!" "Why do you only do that only? Why are you so odd? We don't really like what you do. We don't think anyone ever will. It's a problem that you have, And this problem's made you ill." Listen up and I'll tell a story About an artist growing old Some would try for fame and glory Others aren't so bold The artist walks alone Someone says behind his back, "He's got his gall to call himself that! He doesn't even know where he's at!" The artist walks among the flowers Appreciating the sun He does this all his waking hours But is it really so wrong? They sit in front of their TV Saying, "Hey! This is fun!" And they laugh at the artist Saying, "He doesn't know how to have fun." The best things in life are truly free Singing birds and laughing bees "You've got me wrong", says he. "The sun don't shine in your TV" Listen up and I'll tell a story About an artist growing old Some would try for fame and glory Others aren't so bold Everyone, and friends and family Saying, "Hey! Get a job!" "Why do you only do that only? Why are you so odd? We don't really like what you do. We don't think anyone ever will. It's a problem that you have, And this problem's made you ill." Listen up and I'll tell a story About an artist growing old. Some would try for fame and glory Others just like to watch the world.

Yeah, life changes people and different priorities take over. As good as Blackmill was this is a relatively undiscovered genre so you can't really make a big career off it. Real life and a real job will take over and its about family and career in the end. Still, what he gave to thousands of people over the world with his music back then was absolutely genius and he should take pride to know that he positively influenced many people with it.

This song, called "friend" .. I found it almost 4 years ago, the old days as a teenager, living life with no stress at all .. Then one day, while I was listening to this amazing song, one of my friends called me to tell me the worst news I ever heard ): My best mate (we were buddies for like 16 years) commited suicide, out of freakin' nowhere! This is such an emotional song, but the emotional load it has right now .. I just can't describe it. Thank you Blackmill, for making and sharing this song with us. This song inspires me to go out into the world and just do something. Whether it be parkour, flying a plane at super speed or jumping from one, driving a dirt bike and doing back flips or just even watching a sunrise/sunset (i prefer sunrises) this song just makes me want to do something fun and enjoy life, rather than remember the depressing issues that societies hold. With that said, this song belongs to the dare devils, the risk takers, the innovators, the creators and the crazy people. Keep living life to its fullest and don't regret it one bit. I know I won't!

Experiencing the sheer beauty, that is this song...reminds me of our interconnectedness. We hold the necessary collective wisdom to rise up together. We are not moving through life alone. It can feel that way at times, if that comes up, perhaps take a pause. And ask yourself the question: "When in my life have I felt supported?" "When in my life have I felt unconditional love?" & "When in my life have I experienced a genuine connection with others?" This tune is uplifting and is precisely the kind of ingredient one might add to an already epic recipe. That recipe is for healing. Honour what comes through on an emotional level while appreciating the gift that is "Friend"

One need only read the comments to realize this music inspires nostalgia..for me this brings back my college years. I can't believe it's been ten years since my sophomore year and discovering this music. Makes me think of friends I have not seen or talked to in a long time, good and bad choices I made, the things I have seen..a lot of ups and downs during that time, not all the memories are good, not all are bad. But now I'm married, just had my first kid..life has changed a lot. But I can still come back to this and remember that phase of my life. It makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. Happy for the experiences and the friendships I had, and sad that they're gone now. Thanks for letting me revisit those times, Blackmill.

while i encourage you to play whichever game you enjoy, i also encourage you to give rs3 another try. the creation of osrs occurred during a time in which rs3 was at an all time low in quality. they have improved the game sooo much since then and it saddens me to see so many osrs players not even know how much better rs3 is than how it used to be. i frequently see stories on reddit of osrs players who gave rs3 another try are were pleasantly surprised and find themselves wondering why they and every1 else in osrs hated rs3 so much. if you still don't like it, that's fine. just give it about a week or two to get used to the difference, as it is very to look at how different it is as a huge negative, when really it's not in short, i hate the divide in players and that the osrs community tends to hate rs3 with a deep passion simply because the last time they played it was when it was at its worst and they now miss out on the great game it has become (especially after mod mmg left and osborne took over, the quality of the game skyrocketed when that happened)

I personally like every song blackmill has produced. There's a lot of artist from the same era that I love too, such as mitis, sapphieros, electus, approaching nirvana and kozoro.

This song really got to me. In kinder garden there was a girl name Mickayla Smith, I won't ever forget her name, and she was my best friend. She helped me through the rough moments of life, she sat with me when I was sad, she was always a sweet girl, she was a best friend. After school ended it was summer break, after summer break, it was school again, but I never saw her at school, I got lonely and sad and to this day, (I'm in 7th grade now) I can't stop thinking about her, I remember her voice, her look, everything. I've hoped that I will see her again in high cool so we could build another friendship. If any of you read this all, well, you must have a lot of time to waste but this song really made me think of her and I just had to let this all out

I had a parrot called Jake (Grey with red tail) for about 1.5 years. He was my best friend, until one day he decided to fly away even though his feathers were cut off. I saw where he landed but when I got there he was already gone. I remeber him saying "goodmorning" every time I came downstairs, saying "hello?" when my phone was going off, whistling the imperial march, or having a whistle contest with my neighbour while he was sitting in the grass in my garden. Losing him was the worst feeling of my life. It's been 4 months now and I still miss him very much. Sometimes I still hope to see him again one day but at the same time I know he's gone for good :( I can't do anything but cry when I listen to this song, because it reminds me of how much I miss him, and how much friendship a pet can give.
