No strategy. Just lays it all out there. Way to go, Raph.

One thing that had be concerned with this hour long special was the concept of Dregg. While I'm glad to see he survived the cold vacuum of space when Mozar threw him out through the hatch, there's still the concept that Dregg is actually a robot. His head came off in the one episode to reveal a robot head underneath it. Is he actually a little alien bug piloting an exo-suit? I would've thought we'd get that kind of confirmation with his return, but now that he's blown up with his ship there's no telling now.

Great review Andre. This is my number one favourite episode of the 2012 series. Here's my top 5 favourite episodes of the 2012 series: 1. When Worlds Collide - Part 1/Part 2 2. Turtles in Time (just this part, not including Tale of the Yokai) 3. The Wrath of Tiger Claw 4. Invasion of the Squirrelanoids 5. I remember watching that special with some of my buddies and some went "So April is Donnie's girlfriend now, I expected her to hook up with Casey." at which I pointed out some facts. In season three - "You're not just a mutant Donnie, you're MY mutant." as said by April in "A foot too big" before she kisses him full on his mouth. - Every time April and Casey are alone together in the "Northampton arc", the flirts come from him and she just buts them away as if they were softballs. - "I don't know, it's a little too cramped for my taste!" April in "Return to New York" after they've taken refuge in an abandoned Pizzeria, she and Casey then exchange a look and look away from each other. Season 4 - The scene from "Battle for Dimension X" when Casey and April are left on Fugetoid's ship while the others go to the Utrom Council, there's Casey whacking his hockey stick into the floor and April looking bored. There's no "Let's get to know each other better, Red." from Casey, he basically accepted it. TMNT 2012 is unique for the fact that April and Casey do NOT hook up, their relationship is more a brother-sister relationship. They remain close but not in a romantic way.

I really hope to see an episode where the Mighty Mutanimals are the main characters doing a mission. But the one thing that gets to me about the Mighty Mutanimals is why don't Slash , Leatherhead or hopefully Mona Lisa teach Mondo Gecko how to fight ? I feel like there is no excuse about Mondo not knowing how to fight since he's technically the weakest member and due to the fact that Leatherhead never been train to fight yet he fought the kraang with pure instinct and Slash learned how to fight and being a ninja just by WATCHING the turtles for years I feel like they can teach him how to mix some martial arts with his skateboarding. That's why I like IDW comics incarnation of Mondo where he mix street fighting with skateboarding and have gadgets on his board to help that's why I hoping that either in this last season or this supposed rumor new tmnt series coming out after this one we can see that Mondo can be both comedic relief and a badass I mean look at Michelangelo.

I was wondering, what happened to the other team , the tmnt with casey and april and the the fully formed fugitoid that went into space after the defeat of the tricariton army as the TMNT we know were on earth, and what of the first fugitoid that is still alive in the space junk, it seems like a better idea to make the space tmnt (the ones travelling in space with fugitoid) into the twisted and dark tmnts to fight the ones that we know as a nod to the redsky season ep where the 87 tmnt's mutigen was unstable, and the dark clones of the 03 tmnt :fast foward, to face off with our turtles, it would so close on that part rather than leaving it out in the open.

The two-parter was good, I just wish that they explained how Dregg survived when he was launched out into space. Can he breathe in space? Why not establish that beforehand? I know I'm overthinking it, but it just felt like a stupid thing to shove in there. When Bradford and Rat King fell to certain doom, they actually died in a believable way. This just feels so hackneyed together.

im a die hard of all three series. 2003 is also my favorite, but i can clearly see every episode the ppl who made this series were raised on TMNT just like any huge fan. took a bit to accept certain directions, but i "may" love this one more than the other two because i havent watched a bad episode yet. TMNT 87 had plenty of errors, and the "red sky" CBS seasons were trash. and even though i loved the 2003 series...Fast Forward was asswater, and Back to the Sewers was decent, but definitely a rush job. TMNT 2012 has been quality even during the filler eps and maintains coherency every ep like the 2003 series. do check the WHOLE series if you havent cause once you get past bending your mind what's acceptable in the turtles canon, this show is S tier.

Great episode, but I can't help but feel that Nick made the crew rush the storylines of these episodes. Newtralizer's whole backstory in this feels like a massive retcon, as he was shown wanting to destroy the Kraang without giving a crap who got hurt. No mention of Lord Dregg.Also, I appreciate that this show includes a form of human military, but holy crap did they play up hard the classic science fiction trope of human military being useless against alien invaders. I get it for the giant turtle Kaiju, but against Dregg and the Newtralizer? Double whamy that the EPF are using advanced alien technology, lol. Plus, too many ships, ships overload...Sad that Nick is ending this TMNT only to replace it with TMNT Go...

I hope so, but the trend in cartoons these days is headed to Teen Titans Go style of random lol meme humor aimed at younger kids. Thank God Samurai Jack did so well and may lead to a rise in similar cartoons for older teens and adults.
