It's probably been said here already but, I think Sam was MOVING the box, I don't think they were saying she made the box. I think they were cursing her for moving it instead of letting it give a weapon. It seems pretty implied, when she laughs and her teddybear appears when it moves.

It depends on the announcer. Started with Samantha, Richtofen Dr. Monty, Shadown man, forsaken, etc. But I always loved having Samantha as the announcer because of her funny interactions with the Teddy bear.

Ok here are my thoughts: WAW-BO3: Dr. Monty Alpha and Tag: Samantha. She is now on our side and still has her Powers. Cold War: Zykov (Forsaken) BO6: For B06 i have two predictions. On Terminus Samantha is helping the Requiem Crew But on Liberty Falls she is the enemy. So it might be Mr. Peeks on that map.

Monty's powers and the Apothicon's powers and the Forsaken's all come from the aether and the aether connects all timelines. It's easy enough for them to just grab something from another timeline and bring it through as long as it's infused with aether (element 115). In CW, they're researching the aether and learning how to manipulate it in all sorts of ways. Richtofen and Maxis build teleporters in the 40s way back in BO1. A guy from the 1800s builds the Pack-Punch machine. I think the aether must be very powerful and very intuitive to use, so much so that with it humans could be as powerful as Dr Monty and the Apothicons in no time.

Sam always had some power over the box even tho Monty is the reason we have it. When she entered the aether she gained the power, while in there, to manipulate the aether to certain extents. She was being guided by the voices of the damned (shadowman and maybe monty too etc…) and also by her fathers dying wishes to seek revenge. From our perspective she left the aether at the end of moon becoming trapped in agarthur to b saved by primis in origins. However from her perspective in the aether she cud presumably manipulate anywhere in the space/time of the aetherverse,so the reason we hear her corrupted laugh in origins is, because that currupt3d version of Sam is still either directly or indirectly effecting the crew via the aether’s effect on space/time. Even tho the crew is saving her future self. It sounds wild but that’s zombies for ya, I think it fits perfectly in the story but it’s just my head canon as far as I’m aware… maybe from hearing similar takes. I just never liked how monty giving us the box & stuff retconned ultimis Richthofens lines towards Sam moving the box in bo1. This way both can b true without contradicting or retconning each other!

I like to think it was Dr Monty who created the box and Samantha tries to affect it and its like a tug of war and that's why you get bad weapons sometimes and occasionally Samantha wins enough to move it. Dr Monty set it up and left it, and Samantha keeps trying to mess with it until she wins and can move it.

I think Monty places the box in an area, then whoever is against the crew we play as makes it move. However once it is placed it cannot be permanently removed. It was on Five, Nuketown and Call of the Dead, therefore it will still be there on Alpha Omega, Classified ect. As for Cold War, other elements of the old story carry over, but I no idea why or how.

My head canon is the Victis crew found a way to navigate the dark Aether without being corrupted, finding a way to get revenge over Richthofen by helping our crew in Cold War/BO6. On fire base, Samantha came out with pieces of the old crew (Takeo’s sword, Nikolai’s scarf) and said she was in a Great War…. So in my head pieces of the dark Aether haven’t been corrupted and the previous war is still happening and evolving. And seeing the possible shadow man teaser in BO6, the dark Aether might just be time put in a blender.

From my understanding, the Box is one of those mystical artifacts create directly, or inpart by the Keepers, like the Pack-A-Punch. Monty just shifts it about here and there, loading it up with guns, and what not. The Box moving, think that's just whoever is in control of the Zombies trying to disrupt it, they can't get rid of the box, but they can stop you getting a weapon once in a while, and move it away from you. TL;DR Keeps Make Mystery Box, Monty puts the Box on Maps, Zombie Controller makes Box Move away. For Dark Aether, it was still made by the Keepers but banished to the Dark Aether, now Mr Peeks move it about and puts weapons in it, and once again, the Zombie Controller doesn't like this and makes it move away. That's my take, based on context and evidence.

Ya'know Monty probably just created a little system where all the pieces he brought together could of just automatically appeared wherever zombies appeared right? I mean he's a literal god and he was probably tired of having to move things around all the time so he just automated the process to where anyone who had to deal with zombies could use them and the big bads had just enough power to mess with these things so they just turned it into a little game because well what else are they supposed to do? It would sort of explain the little things where people who weren't even important could use that stuff. Because like why would monty be helping random soldiers and survivors? If monty did automate such a process it's still entirely possible that it continues to function without him.

I don't think Cold war is as bad, it's mid at best for story, and slightly above mid for gameplay. Just hope they learn to make a hardcore mode for old fans and a fun easy mode (similar to outbreak) for new fans and old casual players (casual fans are like multiplayer, came for simple dumb fun but is still the core audience)

You're so f'in late on that idea... It was initially an idea that fans made up and commented about almost constantly around 18 months or so after bo3 was released... It was chatted about so predominantly, that it was an idea being brought up and thrown around between heads at Activision/Treyarc for like 9-12 months or so, until one day it was just, it was like it was erased from history... Until just within the past couple years or so, when it started being brought up again... But the way to do that kind of game properly is to create a fully fledged out story to follow from waw-bo4+cw+mwz+bo6 then a submenu to pick from all the odd ones(aw, iw, ww2, vanguard, warzone), then another one for all the dead ops arcade maps... Not only is that a lot of work, that's also either one expensive ass, huge data eating, single disc/download game that comes 100% fully suited and booted on release for like $200; or we get one game with waw-bo3 for $75, with EVERYTHING ELSE being given to us in this "trickle down" state, with each release being priced for $15-$20 per release... So think 5-7 more dlc releases at $15 per... Thats another $75-$105. Need I keep going?

Would you be upset if they erased almost everything that they did in bo4, and for say found a way to bring back Dempsey takeo Nikolai and richtofen and possibly even dr Monty!? im pretty sure its this. monty made the box, but whose every in control of the zombies on that map is also in control of the box. at 9:05 you state the laugh you hear and the teddy bear you see doesnt matter and earlier you said the box doesnt fit in zombies at all, but thats wrong, the box is a childs toy box, which is why its filled with teddy bears and a toy box's jingle, its samantha's toy box and shes been in control since day one, until mob which the warden is now in control and his box is not a toy box, its a wardens chest, making it fit in his map. in bo2 its still sam's box but sam got kicked out of control of the zombies on moon from rich and maxis which is shown in bo2 its still the same timeline and universe which is why it gets flippin in origins, in origins its a new universe colliding with bo2's universe which is why you see 2 sets of zombies the knights era and bo2 era zombies the box was made during the knights time line but sam came to that universe and took control so its not her box but shes in control of it. in shadows the shadow man is in control and his box fits as an Apothicon box. as for the Of the Dead maps like call of the dead the movie director might or might not be in control i think its still sam, bo4 throw a wrench in the system with a new group of chaos taking over and having illusions in 9 and geek mythos it was all over the place and after bo4 the story wasnt consistent anymore.
