@@Ognastay This was one of their debut songs. At that time (2016), Kpop was blowing up internationally. This song was written, prior to Kpop becoming popular in America. Only in their 1st two songs, will you hear this pronunciation. That’s because Groups like Blackpink, BTS, & TWICE, eliminated this word, or tried their best to not use it. But at the end of the day, it’s their language & they can’t help it sometimes🤷🏻‍♀️. We wouldn’t be able to not use “And”. BTS went as far as to acknowledge this issue publicly. Kpop groups are for the most part, very respectful & considerate of their fans. They are very careful w/maintaining a clean cut image. They might not be American, but everyone knows that using this particular word, will give you a bad image, & get you in big trouble. I doubt they would jeopardize everything, & try to be sneaky. Just to “westernize” the song. Even if they had plausible deniability. At least not most Kpop groups wouldn’t. I get what you’re saying though. It’s unfortunately inevitable, & pathetic for said “artists”, to be sneaky this way. I feel like, if they lack the merit & talent, to create hits, w/having to use derogatory words. Then they should t call themselves artist, & stay in the industry. But whatever, it’s is what it is🤷🏻‍♀️😪.
