I swear to god, I've watched this video MANY times, and I ALWAYS cry every time, I've been with them since day one, since their debut, so I always cry at the part where rosé says "thanks for supporting us since day one" because I was really there, I love them so much that I can't put into words how much ♥

I think you misunderstood when Jennie said some ppl leave after three years. They start off with lots of trainees and they waddle it down to a few, bp had 9 members originally but bc of the constant delay of their debut unfortunately a lot of them didn’t make it. A couple left but most were eliminated. That’s how K-pop training works, it doesn’t matter how much work or effort you put in, if you don’t measure up or even look the part, you’ll be cut. They don’t even care if it’s a couple days before debut, if they think you’re not a good fit, you’re done. It’s sad but that’s the process. Also as far as them constantly apologizing for being gone for a while. That has a lot to do with their management and promotion strategies, as YGE is know to give less creative freedom to their female artists. So the girls get constant backlash for not having a huge discography, even when it isnt’t their fault. So the girls apologize a lot bc they said they just want to be able to share more songs with us. It’s also very common for them to release songs that have been recorded years prior. (Ex/ Jennie’s solo for the bornpink tour was recorded almost 3 years ago, and Rosie’s solo had been recorded 2 years before it was released in 2021)

it’s kind of cute to think that when rosé first arrived, mind you they stayed at a dorm w a bunch of other girls(trainees) YET coincidentally during rosés first night there, jisoo jennie and lisa stayed up late while the rest of the girls went to bed, and together w rosé they stayed up till the morning just singing while rosé played her guitar😭😭like idk the universe really had it set up for them from the beginning it’s crazy how fate works

A lot of the hate towards BP are because they don't release a lot of songs like most kpop artists. For example, Twice and BTS pump out TONS of albums but BP has a comeback every 2-3 years which isn't fair to Blinks. HOWEVER, this is more to do with YG as a record company than BlackPink and I think they get a lot of unfair shit thrown their way.
