Honestly, I've seen mixed reviews on it but I absolutely love it and is the reason re-stanned them. This is better than D4, no one can change that for me and they all improved immensely from what they had as a group before. i love all of the songs of Square up but their stage presence just wasn’t there. I just felt like something from *them* was missing. In this comeback they are so much stronger, and deliver the essence of the song so much better, and even tho i think D4 was better produced, i actually enjoyed and loved the current stages unlike Square up.

The only perfect songs in the album were all the songs except for kill this love tbh. Kill this love was good. But not upto Blackpink standards. The producers should've done better considering they produced so many wonderful bops. Kick it is the best in the album along with don't know what to do. I noticed that this mini album has a really North American pop sound and less of a KPOP sound. I love their comeback, but it didn’t sound much like KPOP like all of their other music has. Idk why, but when I first heard 'Don't Know What To Do', I kinda wanted it for the single. I liked 'Kill This Love' the least, but you were definitely right in the overall sound of the mini. It's more mature and varied sounding yet definitely good to say they put it together like that. And yeah...the remix was all over the place but it's good in spots? lmao idk. I was just happy to hear kick it, don't know what to do, and hope not, because they showed a lot of improvement in the quality of music they've been given for their height as a group at this point. Definitely agree as well on the full album. They're too popular and flat out successful for YG to drag it's feet with them all the time, but I almost feel like it's their success itself that makes YG lackadaisical and overly comfortable. Either way, this mini was a turn in a good direction.

I thought KTL was the worst song on the album and lowkey their worst song they ever put out due to it being all over the place musically and clearly being a D4 ripoff. The best parts on the song were the prechorus and Lisa and Jennie's English part in the middle of the song. The music video (sans Lisa's braids) was excellent, though. I was also expecting bops from this album, but the songs they had were pretty nice and showcased their vocal talents. I agree that everything about this comeback was rushed, but they did fine with what they had.

My only complaints with Kill This Love was •the "BlackPink in your area" Explanation: Oh god I hated that. it was very unnecessary and just doesn't belong in the song tbh. It would be much better without it. Not to mention it's literally copied and pasted from As If It's Your Last. Lisa says it the exact same way if you listen closely. Lazy much YG? The song: The song was okay, however, towards the middle on, the lyrics were just... weird and didn't make sense to me, I thought nothing could be worse than Boss, boyo I was wrong. However some of the outfits the girls wore just didn't need to be in there, so -1 there -D4 remix. Nothing needs to be said here Now what I liked? 1st and foremost, Rosé. Finally, my queen FINALLY gets her time to shine, this era belongs to her imo. No one can tell me otherwise. The performances: I remember watching the D4 Mr removed for the first time in March, and yikes, that's not good. The girls lacked energy and stage presence, except maybe Lisa. The vocals were just bad in my opinion, and Jisoo seemed to be the only one who could handle it. I honestly felt bad because of the comments people left because despite how funny I found them, they were very rude. Fast forward to KTL, they're doing much better, their vocals are stable, not too high or low, and the girls seem to not be missing any of their parts. Great job BlackPink, keep going! You've got this! YG, you better give them another comeback by at least November or else you can talk to my hand... The album itself: I still prefer the look of Square Up, but this is.... holy crap, stunning! I need to get this asap! Thanks for coming to my TEDx talk

I really loved the MV! It was beautiful and Jisoo looked so pretty to the point that I was left completly speechles. The song however was something that didn't took me by surprise or left me with any excitement. To me, the song felt bland and incomplete and it took some time for it to actually grow on me. The choreo wasn't as intense as YG papi described it would be but it wasn't bad or anything. Don't Know What to Do was probably the best one imo and I think it is a perfect music to get your day started with or for summer at least. Also I think Du Ddu remix ver. wasn't necessary and although the beat was sick, I think it didn't match with the song that well.

It was just.... so underwhelming, like I adore the styling and visuals, also the trumpets are sick! But the structure of the song is what we've been hearing for the past 9 months... it's practically 4D 2.0. Intro with the hook -> Jennie followed by Lisa rap -> Jisoo+Rosé prechorus -> Chorus with the only lyrics being the title -> 2nd verse Jennie/Jennie+Lisa rap -> Jisoo+Rosé prechorus now switched places -> Chorus -> Rosé bridge in english -> Dance break in the end. Obviously there are smaller details that are different but overall it's so similar and I was just expecting more... I mean it's a bop at the end of the day but yeah, I wanted something else

For me i did not like the album that much. It just sounds like there old songs and is kinda boring but kinda good. Let me explain: 1. See you later sounds alot like kick it. 2. Forever young sounds like i dont know what to do without you. 3."really" sounds alot like hope not 4. Dddd-kill this love It just reminds me of the old songs too much and its nagging me. And we dont know how much unrealised songs YG has. If i was YG i would already make 5 albums in a year since they sang some songs and is still kept unseen. I know making a mini album is to make a quick buck or just get money to make more but maybe there are at least 15 songs there and can make a full album with 7 or 8 songs and he will have left with 8 or 7 songs. The money they will get will be amaizing but YG is still turning his back....

Overall I loved the whole mini-album, especially the way Jisoo and Rose have shined throughout this comeback. Following the release of Solo I was frustrated because Jennie has always gotten so much attention compared to the other girls (being center in the performances even though Lisa is the main dancer, getting so many more lines when Rose is the main vocalists...). As much as I loved Solo I'm happy that the other girls are getting the attention they deserve.

here's my thoughts, definitely no hate 😸😸 1. ktl gave me similar vibes to dddd (fierce and badass vibe) 2. the sequences of appearance was predictable too.. Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé (the rap was a surprise though cos I thought it would be jennie only) then rosé singing the bridge 3. The song feels incomplete, they should have added the chorus after the dance break .. I was like 0: after watching the MV cos I was like huh?! It ended?! 4. The choreography is definitely better than dddd, but compared to boombayah / whistle it's weaker 5. I lovE the side tracks especially hope not and dkwtdwy which showed off the vocals of the members greatly 💖💖💖 6. Kick It is lovely cos it feels like chill pop, something that blackpink hasn't done before in my opinion.. 7. This comeback would've been better if it's a FULL ALBUM 😢😢😢

Tbh i love this song even many people said it's d4 part 2. I think this type of song is characteristic of BP Music. But from debut until now, it's still Boombayah is my fav. I hope in next comeback their song will be strong like boombayah 💕

For DKWTD, the chorus and the entire song give me such western vibes. It's perfect for Coachella lmao. It's not my style but it's not a bad song, the verses are really good. Kill This Love is a very good title track and Hope Not is such a good song. Overall, a very strong ep. About what you said with how the songs end so fast, I completely agree! I feel like when it's hyping itself up it just stops and it leaves me wanting at least some more. But it does fit when you look at the length of the songs. Kill This Love is 3 minutes long and so is Solo. Nowadays songs go to almost 4 minutes. Still, great comeback, I like it more than Square Up

I have minor issues with KTL (chorus def needs work), but overall I love the song and this comeback. Their new songs are honestly so incredible and delightfully surprising. Hope Not should absolutely be the theme song for a romantic KDrama. Kick It is a slow jam for the ages. Don't Know What To Do is that "refreshing soda" song Jennie mentioned wanting to release. So proud of Blackpink and happy for us Blinks. All 4 members are shining so much.
