the choreographer for one of my routines was talking to me the other day and said "i don't want to put in a lot of moves, or complicated moves because i really want your expressions to show through. it can be just as impactful with very simple moves as with complicated moves." and honestly she's right. Blackpink have simple moves but their routines are always so polished and powerful that theyre hard to recreate properly, and thats what makes their choreos so good.

For me personally, I loveeee Blackpink's 'Forever Young' dance practice. I don't really listen to the songs at first but after I saw the dance practice I'm obsessed with the song!! The choreography just elevates the song in the best way possible. And that is the charm of Kpop. They're serving with dance moves and complex and insync choreography as well. Check out BTS's and NCT's dance practices. Those boys took choreography to a whole different level.

If you didnht realise and i cant see if anyone else has pointed it out, but the choreo for the dance practice is usually for live performances(concerts etc), so yes for MV it gets cut up to fit the hype/story etc. But really its there for live P.
