They are being used for quick cash because YG KNOWS that they're eye catching and talented enough to keep an audience without having to produce for them REAL SUBSTANCE and CREATIVTY when it comes to music. Blackpink has EVERYTHING, and unfortunally they have teddy as well. Their songs are boring to me at this point, they all sound the same, they're predictable. I don’t even want Teddy to retire, he’s apart of their signature sound thus far. I just want them to use a different producer every once in a while and if they want to use Teddy on a song then fine. The man can give us different stuff like he did for Big Bang, 2ne1 and many others so why stick him with the rinse and repeat for BlackPink?

The girls were set up, like damn the company is doing bare minimum like they know whatever music they put out, fans are going to eat up. You know what pisses me off the most about this song and the last couple of bp songs in general, is that the girls aren’t releasing music as frequently enough to be dropping stuff like this I mean it’s been almost 2 years since lovesick girls, you’d think you’d come up with something a bit more sophisticated or impressive, a song that sounds like effort has been put into it. I mean I clicked on the song and nothing surprised me or wowed me and Teddy (or whoever produces for them) knows how popular these girls are that it doesn’t matter how good the song is, people are gonna listen regardless.

That chorus is terrible. Also feel bad for the vocalist, they got horrible parts, not memorable in the least. Just hope their album is better.

The most frustrating part is that the first verse and both pre-choruses are SO good and interesting but that chorus REALLY lets the song down. I was so excited to hear how the traditional elements would factor in a chorus but this one lacked their usual impact. Love or hate a BlackPink song usually the chorus is at LEAST filled to the brim but this one lacked both instrumentation AND vocals so what are they even doing? In any case, I appreciate you SO MUCH. A lot of - too many - reactors just blindly like everything and drink the Koolaid that way and can never be honest when something is a let down. If this upcoming full comeback is bad too I fully support you in ending BP reactions.

This “Blackpink formula” song format is fine to have 1 of on a bigger album, but we really do not need this as a pre-release single! Give us something NEW that’s going to show us how far the girls and their talent have come!!! And then leave the formula song hidden somewhere in the album for us to have fun with on our own. It’s sooooo frustrating because I don’t want to hang up my Blink stan card but I think I just did, because with all the new groups coming out now pushing the envelope and developing new ideas , I’ve been curious how Blackpink was going to adapt and slay them all …. But they just came back with their same exact sound and really thought it was going to chew like it used to and it does not

This is every blackpink title of late; 1. Jennie starts us off 2. A cute little first verse/prechorus 3. Minimalist chorus with little to no lyrics 4. Maybe a rap break or we go into the 2nd verse 5. Same chorus, a little catchy but boring 6. Build up bridge 7. Dance break with no lyrical value and then teddy says rinse and repeat every TWO YEARS. Get these girls a new producer cause they could really be making the music of their generation.

This is the first BP comeback I’ve actually given any attention, and it was what I expected, which was disappointing. They are who I thought they were, and I was SO hoping to be proven wrong. I actually liked the rap part, and the end was a better chorus than the chorus! lol. But this wasn’t it. I’m so glad I’ve discovered StayC over the past couple months…cus it’s getting stale out here.

blackpink is just painfully underwhelming as a musical act and that's a bummer because they have the looks, the skills and the support it takes to be great but it's like no one in that company wants them to be great. you literally cannot tell me there's not world famous writers and producers lined up around the block for an opportunity to work with the biggest girl group in the world and despite that YG is dead set on paying domestic terrorists teddy and rtee to produce the same song over and over again. no matter how much i think about it this is all hwayoung's fault.

I don't know I feel like the only weaker part is the outro. The la tatata gets a bit repetitive after a while. However, the rest of the song is a banger. The bouncy nature of the chorus is everything I ever wanted without knowing that I needed it and the beat switch up in the second verse is the highlight of the song. Those raps are chef's kiss. Overall I would say this is one of the best comebacks of the year. A little sad that a lot of people didn't enjoy it as much but to each their own. P.s. As I said, to each their own when it comes down to taste, however the statement, "they are not giving me true music" is a silly one because it implies that there is an objective way of doing "true" music when, luckily for all of us, there's not.

Genuinely disappointed once again, i do like the song, its okay..? but at the same time i really need something different from the girls and teddy. Ive been a blink since 2016 and their music has just been going downhill since 2019. BLACKPINK is a very talented group with amazing rappers, vocalists, and dancers.
