BLACKPINK really is ridiculously cute. I typically hate all things cute/girly, but they sucked me in about a year and a half ago and I've been obsessed ever since. It always comes back to that duality. They are pretty. They are savage. What's not to love! - side note, I really do hope you'll continue checking out their behind the scenes as well. Even without proper subtitles (though many of their later stuff do have them) it's just fun to see the girls as themselves goofing about.

Have u ever seen Justice League? Not the Zack Snyder one… the one before. If you have, in the scene where Flash meets Bruce Wayne for the first time, not only was this song was playing in the background, the music video can be also be seen playing in one of the screens. Apparantly the actor who plays The Flash is a Blink & requested the song to be used in the scene.

You really need to watch the Behind the scenes, making of the MV, and Blackpink reacting to their video. For this song them reacting to the video, they explain that all of the scenes in front of the yellow building were not in the script. During a break Lisa got cotton candy and did the side to side head thing and the other girls loved it and made the producer put it in the video and they added a bunch of scenes from there and the Jennie eating ice cream in front of the Jennie's Ice Cream truck was the same. These 4 girls are so special. I believe they are the real life realization of the plot of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure where Bill & Ted come up with a musical concept that unites the entire world. This is actually what Blackpink is doing.

This song is a perfect example of how well Korean Popular music, uses the mix of both Korean and English in the verses like poetry to make the words to the song blend so well. If this was done in either English or Korean alone, it would not have achieved the same harmony as it does. BTW the thumb and finger cross is the 'Heart' sign, that Jennie and Jisso show at 10:59 and you will see a lot in Korean culture. Didn't look at all the comments so maybe already mentioned but, they spell out LOVE with their fingers in the last shot of the video.

Jisoo Jennie and Rose' were doing an acrostic poem game, which lots of Korean variety shows have idols do, using the syllables of the words to form lines in a poem theoretically compose on the spot As If Its Your Last ...song BLACKPINK would get to release, was the worry of Blinks back then since it was only 1 song after 7 months wait followed by a year waiting for Ddu-du Ddu-du which thankfully was a 4 track EP and finally a physical CD release for BLACKPINK with 'Square Up' nearly 2 years after debut (most groups' 1st release is a CD unless they do a few months of pre-release songs, BLACKPINK fans had to wait for 4th release.). Kpop CDs come in various sizes, shapes and design styles which differ from one album to the next (differing heights, widths and thicknesses complicating storing on shelves) with really nice photo books (from 52 to 132 pages or so), posters, stickers, random photocards where fans want to cry if they didn't get their favorite member... Korean CDs are fun and sometimes frustrating to collect, plus shipping charges from Korea...
