When Lisa danced with the group before this comeback, she kept her energy and did not stand out. So this is what their concert choreo is going to look like live. This is the dance routine they have committed to muscle memory for this song. I think we all keep saying they just seem to be getting better and better at this. Then I go to their interviews where they just throw off lines like "we practice 14 hrs a day until we get a performance right." They have developed the capacity to just work the hell out of something until it is totally committed to their memories. So when they get on a live stage, they can just fall into it naturally. But when we fans see them doing these things looking so effortlessly amazing, we are super impressed by it. We don't see any of the hours and weeks they put into learning this. Of course, Lisa is totally IN her element in any dance studio performance.

American directors have no idea what to do with KPop, but that also shows that camera work is integral to KPop. Other genres have much less of a visual component, so i translates better to late night TV. Late night TV shows in the US are dead...they used to be the dominant actually consumed art form here.
