The concept for the song is shutting down their haters by demonstrating their great successes. This MV has a couple dozen call back Easter eggs from earlier song MVs. Hint ; MVs for some of those songs are shut down inside of the garage doors that slam shut. The bedazzled tank for example, which is shut behind a garage door is from the earlier song DDU-DU DDU-DU. They are shutting down that successful part of their past and beginning a new era with the Born Pink album. Notice Jennie pushed the UP button on the elevator. Good to see you guys reacting to BLACKPINK again, hope you're both doing OK. The line "It's not a comeback because we never left" can also be a reference to one of the well known complaints about the group, that they take one or two years between releasing content, as opposed to all of the other artists in the K-Pop industry who usually release at least one album a year, sometimes two. They are saying that even when they don't release content they still stay on top of the charts, they don't lose their popularity. And regarding your comment about the "OD'd on BLACKPINK" at 4:20 , they made every sign in the "city" scene a reference to a BLACKPINK song as Easter Eggs for BLINKS to find. Yes, the song is partly set in a storage facility, each room houses an older BLACKPINK song which they're "closing the doors" on, then at the end of the video they are "leveling up" to the new version of BLACKPINK, as they exit the elevator into a hallway filled with a new set of doors.

The whole video was like a throwback to their old music and videos, Jennie on the tank and Jisoo with the umbrella from DDDD, Lisa with the garbage bags in Boombayah, & Rosé on top of the world like in whistle (just to name a few). I believe the intent of the video was to show they going back to their older music and saying they are moving up and progressing to their newer sound and era of Blackpink!
