I know these type of comments are posted by kids or by people easly influenced by others, with zero knowledge how this industry works. So for them Blackpink sends clear message in this title track the old era is over, they shut it down. These 4 businness women are now in control, they are happy with things as they are. They will sing songs they like. They will dance as hard as they feel comfortable and not get injured. Upcomming concert tour is huge and it takes time to prepare for such big event. Actually I had to rewatch a couple more times and seeing the door closed behind to a references/sets from their old MVs. That looks like they are closing down/moving on from that era and the "Up" in the elevator scene seems to saying they are moving up to the next era/level and walking towards to a new unexplored space and that line "Keep talking we shut you down" at the end can not be more fitting.

The girls said that this album, Born Pink, is mainly based in hip-hop but there are still other genres incorporated in other songs like pop, rock, something disco and ballad. But there’s mostly hints of hip-hop. Anyway, this song is such a BOP! Imho, this is their best title song by far. Like you said, this is not like their usual title songs that were ‘in-your-face’, with beat changes and big drops so I like how this is so much different! Especially loooooveee the violin accompaniment (a sampling of La Campanella) throughout the song, like it’s been ringing in my mind all day😂 And Jennie man, she really is on another level whenever she raps! I hope she’s given more rap parts in their future releases because she’s THE MAIN RAPPER for a reason! Thanks for this video! 😊

I think it's a Stroh Violin, which is sort of an amplified violin thing with a brass horn attached to it making that gypsy sort of fortuneteller sound. And I say, they have an actual live amplified Violin on stage for live shows during this song.

The MV seems to be their way of saying, “Get ready for the NEW BP era”. It’s a goodbye to the old Blackpink, & dawning in, the NEW Blackpink. They are in a “storage facility”. Each container, holds a song, & an era. The act of SHUTTING DOWN the doors on it. Means they are leaving behind the old, they are doing a final shut down on the past songs, records, awards, haters, & drama, of each era. When they go UP the elevator, they leave behind their past successes. They then enter into a NEW, EMPTY facility. Meaning, a new beginning, new songs, new eras, new drama, & a new Blackpink. MORE CONTENT, to fill up those empty containers. Blackpink ain’t going nowhere. We still have Jisoo’s solo, & there are rumors that the girls ARE RENEWING their contract. So let’s just look forward to the era of Blackpink.

I also LOVED Pink Venom & this one. The F You attitude is all over this new album. I think it's directed at toxic critics who are constantly all over them everything they do. Lisa attends a fashion show and they are all over her that she's wearing this yellow thing, her hair has these braids, her look is this or that. Maybe shut the hell up and let them breath a little. They've worked really hard to get where they are. SO this one, here it is!! IT's like everytime we show up, BLOW UP!!!

I like it way more than Pink Venom. Seems more laidback, sassy, less try hard. I really like the Russian - sounding violin sample (oh apparently this is Paganini). But I hate the whipitwhipitwhipit bit. Jennie dominated. It’s my favourite thing that they’ve released for a reeeeally long time.
