You said too many great and knowledgeable things along the way here to mention them all... but "It's her brain I wanna marry" takes the palm. "Grateful to be living in the time of Miyako" being a close second, that a substantial amount of music lovers relate to! \m/ P. S.: The closing guitar-piano solo is evidently one of the best of its kind on record. This is basically Classical music composed for an "electric" band.

3:09 That has to be one of the highest compliments to a band - a man getting rid of head-gear and part of his image to be able to just hear that perfectly! Loved you nerding out about those solos up to, and including, "the entrance of Satan" himself! Nicely put! 😈 What LOVEBITES are doing here is taking the best influences of the original Thrash and combining them into a killing romp through hell. Hell loses, of course.

13:05 Man, I love you, but I cannot believe they got you for the second time! 😁 The intro-outro cyclical structure, the visiting card of this song... and introducing the new boss on bass, Fami! Yeah, they can hypnotize, who is even thinking about the life 10 minutes ago! 🤘

10:12 AND they keep pushing each other, by practicing together, to be ever better! To never become complacent and dare new challenges. That is a recipe for a band to be eternally young. If you wonder what "ever better" means, listen to the pair of CLOSING songs to the "Judgement Day" album... "Dissonance" and "Soldier Stands Solitarily". You will know. And it is not the guitarists alone (solitarily 😉), you shall hear the whole band going extraterrestrial on us. 😱👽🐺❤🔥

There is a full on scream in her live version of "Unravel" from the Anime "Tokyo Ghoul" by the original artist TK. It is another great song.

I was a drummer when I was young and I have a deep rock and metal background. But my son who is 14 now has been studying piano from the age of 6. And through these years I learned to deeper and better appreciate and listen to piano classical music. And I gotta say that Kanami's piano roots are naturally embedded in her writing. When you see the notation of some Chopin, Liszt or somebody else's piece you'll find out how precise the pianist has to play this. Staccato notes must be played in certain way, and legato must be legato. If a pianist messes it up the piece will fall apart. Kanami writes and orchestrates her music the exact same way. Kanami's chromatic sequences are just like the best of Rachmaninoff's snippets. And the list goes on and on.

6:18 I really appreciate your empathy for the struggle of Asian Americans! It warms my heart to know that there are allies when there is so much discrimination and violence against Asian Americans going on! You’ve described my experience as an Asian American perfectly, getting bullied for being the only Asian kid growing up! 😭 I was bullied all the way until college, and I’m still struggling to find my group today!

the fact that wonpil is the one who wrote this iconic bassline (rescue me). he isn't even the bassist, i don't know what possessed him but i'm thankful for it because it caused this certified banger

There are NO parts of a BAND-MAID song that us 'old geezers' can't dig (get into). They hit every facet of musical perfection all the time and speak a musical language that breaks all the 'new gates' of time, and space, and genre.

Suzaka Nakamoto is a Japanese National Treasure. Her voice is that of an Angel. All members of BabyMetal could become their own act one day, but for now, we must appreciate the magic that they are creating. This song, specifically, was a "FAREWELL" to Yui-Metal, their third girl, who they grew up with and trained with in Sakura Gakuin.

Jin is always amazing in live performances. He was actually the last member that I became in awe of because I didn't start watching live performances until I'd been Army for a while. But when I did it opened my eyes to Jin's role as a vocalist.

My 2nd most favorite song of Band Maid.
@bradmenpes8092 ай бұрын
So many bands rely on the studio versions of their songs because their live versions just don't make the grade. Band-Maid are the complete opposite. The studio versions of their songs, while super good, don't hold a candle to what we hear from them live. There's so much going on in each song and imho it is "expressed" fully and powerfully when they play live. Plus they can add things - like different intros, outros, bass and lead battles - that just don't exist except in the moment. And that's what makes live music so good. You're there, it's in the moment, and when the band is good enough, and Band-Maid are stellar, it's never to be repeated. (You're right about them playing "Thrill." I think they are over that song).
