We call Jennie our "opening fairy" because she always opens all of their songs, but in this one she was actually the last of the 4 to come into the track. They gave her the chorus and I think that was for a very specific reason. They wanted her to sing those lyrics first because it really hits home hard coming from her knowing all the character assassination, bullying and harassment this girl went through (still does) over the years since her SOLO era. It sends the message straight to the heart. But all of them did absolutely amazing and I love how they're getting really specific with their lyrics and not shying away from touching personal topics. This was the perfect way to end this album.

Totally agree with you, beautifully said. I honestly still can't process how some fans can't understand that she had a physical injury which she was not able to recover from for so long (much longer than what it normally takes because of their packed schedule). I mean, can't they just understand it? Some fans act like they love the whole group but they don't, they just love their fave and f*** the rest.

Jennie is the member of Blackpink who receives a lot of hate since 2016 starting with the Lazy Scandal not knowing that she's suffering from motion sickness and she injured her same ankle many times but you can't see it while she's performing she'll really slay the stage so hard

Jennie and Lisa is the members who receive a lot of hate. Jennie for being the "the YG princess", lazy and more while Lisa has receive a some racism in Korea. One thing that I cannot forget is when a Korean guy shout bad words to Lisa. The recent issue is the ice cream song in line distribution and Lisa having plastic surgery and many more. Toxic blinks and haters STAY MAD you won't be happy, never.

exactly. I can already see Jennie crying during this in concert. The life they live is not simple at all and we only see what we wanna see on the outside. People form their own perceptions and opinions, not knowing what goes on behind closed doors. They can never live a normal life again. You can hear the emotion in this song. It’s a sad reality.

omg you made this song hits us harder because you also knew about the pain behind this track especially these girls individual struggle in their journey. Jennie had to apologize on her birthday for “being lazy” when in fact she had injured the same ankle almost 7 times over the span over 2-4 years, and haters did call her lazy, saying she doesn’t deserve to be in Blackpink, and she was holding the group back when she’s been working hard for 10 years now. Even though the girls weren’t credited for writing these lyrics Rosé said in an interview that when they went to the studio they spilled their feeling and the writers transformed their ideas and feelings into lyrics.

Interesting fact: LØREN, who appears as the male heartbreaker in the "Lovesick Girls" MV, co-wrote both songs.
