Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway: 139th anniversary full version on Sunday 29th September 2024

Welcome to our full version of Sunday 29th September 2024 in Blackpool where the Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway was celebrating its 139th anniversary on the day.
A number of heritage trams was operated in an attempt to operate alongside the Bombardier Flexity 2 fleet that provides the normal service.
Our cameraman on the day was Tony Armitage who captured some of the "fun and games" involved in crossing North Pier delta junction.
You see boat car 600 spectacularly dewire and you see other trolley fitted heritage trams holding up the service as volunteer guards attempt to "trolley" them across the points.
723 was held up in both directions at Abingdon Street traffic signals waiting for the lights to change.
Bolton 66 tram attempted to cross the delta junction without checking that there was, in fact, a Flexity 2 leaving Talbot Square and left it stranded in the middle of the junction whilst the guard attempted to wire the Bolton tram.

I'm afraid it isn't up to your usual standard. A lot of moire effects and a large chunk of repeated video.

@@librarian16 the first one is just 723 going to Blackpool North railway station. The second video is a fuller version with additional material covering other trams out on the day. One would have thought you would watch one or the other, not both. I do not understand what you mean about effects but it has come out really well here. Tony has done a really good job whilst I am away. You are the first dissenting voice but I appreciate your criticism, constructive or otherwise.

​@@podbabatransport7515I did watch only one video. The dewirement appeared twice - once in the repeated section at the end. I knew it was a repeat as I recognised several people from the beginning.
