Blackpool Piers & Illuminations Vlog November 2023

Join us for a night in Blackpool checking out the piers and the 2023 Illuminations! We start off on South Pier, taking a look at the current ride offering and capturing the awesome atmosphere. We then take a stroll along the golden mile and head onto Central Pier for a look at the rides! We then continue along the promenade taking in the fantastic illuminations by Blackpool Tower and much more!

Honestly? I think Pleasure Beach shutting down at night is a good idea. Money is tight for most families today. And this is the last chance for the piers to make a lil extra cash before they shut down. Families can't afford to do both. If they could then PB would have been a lot busier earlier in the day. Don't forget that the operating expenses increase at night too because of the 100's of KW of energy for all the lighting.

I haven’t been for years but I remember it being dirty and really tacky. My mum went a couple of years ago though and said they’ve really cleaned it up so I think I will have to visit again

I would say the promenade is generally ok but go behind one or two streets it is pretty grim, still love it for the rides, pleasure beach, and tower!

Blackpool is always such an amazing 🤩 magical 🧙🏻‍♂ nostalgia place these Blackpool illuminations are just so incredibly beautiful very impressive with how much time effort dedication goes into these spectacular theming throughout the seafront 🌊promenades of Blackpool, shops restaurants entertainment so much more to mention, Blackpool always remains as my ultimate top 3 favourite U.K. seaside destination it’s got huge potential positive fun adventurous funny humour vibes including positive experiences it’s such a very awesome special magical place Thank you 😊 for sharing

We love blackpool, always go twice a year. Once in summer and the other in September to see the illuminations. Definitely agree that the illuminations at Bispham are the best

Never got to Alton Towers fireworks this year (that's why your videos come in handy !) but hey we managed to see the Blackpool ones !🎆 Weather not great but managed to see illuminations. As for the rides the big one shed a little tear knowing what's coming along in Thorpe Park soon but we gave a hug and said don't worry we won't forget about you !!😁 Love your enthusiasm while you film videos always makes me smile !

Great vlog. They usually do a ride the lights event for a pre switch on just before the main switch on day. The road is closed for cars it’s bikes only I think. I’m still trying to catch up with your videos you do so many now (which is great) 👍🏼

Wow what a change. I've not been to Blackpool since the 80s lol and it was absolutely freezing then too. Loads more lights now and LED. Still some lights not working - no change there then but the displays and light sequences are so much better. The heart on the Tower is a let down. Enjoyed watching the video from my sofa all nice amd warm ha ha ❤

Good video. I can see why the piers were so busy, blackpool pleasure beach is good, but it's getting quite expensive. As someone who has kids myself, it's an expensive day out. With the piers you can roam around and if you do want to have some rides it dosent cost to much.

I miss the old over head lights from the 1990s that where actual models of things.. there were lamps, show girls, sealife even McDonald's had lights one year but everything fit with something blackpool had in the town or was showing for eg hot ice had lights one year. We used to sit on top of the car sun roof in the slow traffic through the golden mile.

Got to say I prefer the 'old fashioned' illuminations, typically a figure, item or animal with various light fittings fixed on a display board. I presume the mainly LED light panels are cheaper and require less upkeep....

The Pleasure Beach used to remain open till 10pm in the old days...ie the 1990's, can't remember if that was all year round though, definitely summer months and early Autumn, once it became pay as you enter .....it kinda went downhill from that....rare late night openings, even Sea Life and Tower used to remain open till 10pm, now that also closes very early. Sad really.

Sean and Charlotte I absolutely love your channel. You have helped myself and my family have some of our most cherished memories in different theme parks. We are planning our next theme park adventure to Winter Wonderland in London. We are buying the tickets this weekend and I was just wondering when you buy an admission ticket between 10am and 12 does that mean you can only be in the theme park for those two hours or can you spend the day there? Another great video guys, love the Blackpool illustrations, we were there ourselves a few weeks ago. But sorry Shawn don't agree that the tram is expensive. £3.20 each all the way from Bispham to pleasure Beach is good. How much would a taxi cost.

The day tickets also give you access to the Blackpool Transport Palladium buses as well for the duration so I think it is well priced.

6 pound 40 for 2 adult singles on tram is well expensive I pay just under that for an off peak all day ticket on the Birmingham trams
