Grand National was always my favourite. As an only child with parents who hated rollercoasters I had to ride on my own but it didn’t stop me every year 😂. I miss the log flume, the water chute and Tokaydo Express, all my best memories.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is still easily in the top 5 Themeparks in the UK. In order 1. Alton Towers 2. Thorpe Park 3. Chessington 4. Pleasure Beach 5. Legoland 6. Drayton Manor 7. Paultons Park 8. Flamingo land 9. Oakwood 10. Adventure Island Southend. Universal Studios Bedford would likely become No.1 If it's ever built, let's see what happens.

It's not hard though as there aren't really that many theme parks in the UK. BPB was good in the 90s and early 2000s but it's really gone downhill the past few seasons.

This is one of the closest parks to me and I love going and I am very excited to return. Very excited to get some more Icon merch. Also, I wish Towers sold more merch online like the Pleasure Beach do. I would definitely buy more merch overall if I could get stuff in the closed season or just when I can’t visit.

Top tip to avoid issues with your phone scanning and e ticket go to either guest services or the photo shop at Wallace and Gromit they will scan your e ticket and print off a ticket that you use on the ride turnstiles. Saves your battery and rarely fails to scan!

They still do non rider entry tickets. If they took the turnstiles away, they would have to charge everyone full price. People weren't happy when they started to charge to enter the park, so I don't know how that would go down lol

It was great to get on the parks classics such as Grand National, Big Dipper, Nickelodeon Streak and the Ghost Train and yes they were jolty but they are classics and not as bad as Infusion omg that thing makes Kumali and Odyessy look smooth at butter!

I went last week on an off-peak day. Operations were great, I felt. Big one had slowest ops due to one train. Ghost train was amazing and also did alice etc but audio kept cutting out. Also the wallace ride broke down. My first ever evacuation. Its a shame about river caves albeit.

Honestly I know we all have our own opinion but the Enzo seats on icon just makes this one of my most amazing rides I have been on the only ride I feel the need to hold on at a certain point but I love being spun round on the launch it's so unnerving I love it

Completely agree about the scanning, I went the week after half term with school. We had wristbands and it was still a nightmare. I could only just scan my own wristband never mind the kids scanning theirs and the turnstiles are a nightmare for SEN kid’s especially if visually impaired. The operators ended up just pressing the button to let us through every time, it was completely pointless. Ghost train was fine that day but must have been running less trains as it was quiet midweek. We went on the rugrats log flume in November with our son (he was 18 months at the time so we are training him to love rides!) which I did not realise soaked you because I’d never done it before. It’s our closest park at an hour away from us. Can’t believe the river caves and ice blast are not open still. Glad we did ice blast in November I still think it’s a great ride. Was Dora open when you went? It was shut the week after half term so I’ve still not done it. Still never done revolution so might have a go at that eventually.

Icon is still my number one in the UK I can't wait to ride Hyperia, I guess my num one and two in the country will both be MACK because im sure Hyperia will be my number one. still Zadra is my overall number one, I cannot wait to get back on it next week :) and cannot wait for the first rmc to come to England!! I think they should use the big one structure and rmc should convert it and take back the record of the tallest, we can dream lol, hope you both had a lovely day at my local park.

This is only minor, but I went yesterday and the Big One broke down (luckily after I rode it). At around 4pm it appeared as if it stalled while I was in the ICON queue line. Luckily it was only a few feet up the lifthill, but it could of been further. It didn't open for the rest of the day. FUNNY STORY.) I went on Valhalla and whilst on the ride got so drenched to the point a tidal wave was sent OVER THE BOAT (like a bucket of water being sent over you) sa nd the £8 plastic cloak I was wearing literally split into two and completely drenched me to the point where my shorts looked as if they had been bathed in a pool. Hopefully this acts as a quick disclaimer to not waste your money and bring a large coat or jacket instead. 😅 I was also pretty shocked when for around one hour the ghost train had a longer queue time than ICON and the Big One. Icon was 25 mins whilst Big One was 20 mins. The Ghost Train was 30!

At the moment there appears to be a lot of negativity about BPB on other vlogs but surely we should be supporting the history of the park. I had my first ever visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Wednesday and had a great day with it not been too bussy and didnt wait any longer than 40 minutes for the rides which was Icon and most were 15 to 25 minutes! I was gutted not to get on the big one but saftey is paramount and 213ft up in the air it will have been windier than it felt!

Pleasure Beach is cashless. I must admit that this is very surprising. You'd think that up in Lancashire, which is a very deprived county overall (and Blackpool in particular is one of the most deprived areas of Europe), that cash would be preferred!

Pleasure Beach could easily be the best park in the UK but its actually like walking round a derelict park atm. It needs alot of work doing to it. I've had a season pass for years but since 2021 I haven't renewed as its now a 1 day a year kind of park. It's such a shame. Hope they can turn it around! 🙏

After 3 rides on Icon and 1 ride on Enso i know have a new number 1 coaster beating Wickerman! My first ever ride on Icon was on the back row which was amazing then i did Enso which was insane and well worth £15 for the experience! I then did a mid train ride later that day and them a front row ride which just confirmed its number 1 spot in my coaster rankings!

I have a difficult decision to make In September I have a week off and I want to do a theme park in the UK I'm trying to decide between Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Thorpe park' Pleasure beach pro's: Great classic rides I can finally get over the trauma of having stayed in blackpool for a week without knowing pleasure beach existed until the day I got home Cheap, under 500 euros for flight, hotel and tickets. Cons: Not that many thrill rides. Thorpe pros: Hyperia and many other awesome coasters Near London so I have a place to be touristy on the third day Cons: At least twice as expensive because it's near london. What should I do?

When I was a kid around 2010, we used to go to pleasure beach every October for Halloween. Never once was the big one closed for high winds etc and I recall it being very windy. To the point where you could see the lift hill move in the queue line. Have restrictions gotten tighter over the years regarding wind or were we just lucky for it not to be closed every year?

I am so jealous I tried going recently by coach and it was a nightmare it took almost 10 hours to get they the rain and wind was horrible and my friend was sick with gallstones we was staying just next to the park you could literally hear and see Valhalla but I would of felt horrible dragging my friend around unwell in the weather so decided against it even though I really wanted to go
