Blackpool Town Centre

This is just a very brief video I shot whilst I happened to pass through town as the diggers were starting up on the Wilko demolition. I will do some more proper videos of the ongoing work next week.

I lived just over the road from there on the corner of Queen Street for nigh on 10 years. I miss Blackpool so much, I'm back in portsmouth now.

I remember the North Station being demolished in the early 1970s...beautiful Victorian ironwork..such a pity..does anyone remember the Beehive coffee bar late 60s opposite the old Odeon Cinema

Yes we used to go there the manager was called Nicky he was my best man .in 1979

Strangely, I never even knew of the previous North station building until recently. I was a toddler early 70's

Are there any plans for the Blackpool North train station hall to be bulldozed and rebuilt into something a tad modern? It looks like an old 70s DIY store..
