Blackpool Tramway 130th Anniversary 27 September 2015

Spent a great day in Blackpool for the 130th anniversary of the Blackpool Tramway. Heritage Trams,Fish and chips and a pint or two in glorious sunshine in Blackpool. What more could you ask for.

Great variety of trams,thank you.Not a lot of people know that the 1st Blackpool trams were run by Mr Holroyd -Smith in Stretford,Manchester on his test tracks!Cheers.Joe

What a terrific variety of trams! Lovely day for it as well. Particularly interesting to see the Wild West train in daylight; that trailer it pulls is very nice.

Blackpool tramway is unique as is it the only public tram system that has old trams as well as new trams running along side each other, it would be great if Blackpool have a vintage tram from different ages and other parts of the world , since San Fransisco has two of Blackpool Boat trams it would be nice to see a San Fransisco tram you know the ones as seen in the film Dirty Harry were Detective Callahan takes the tram to get the next phone box

The old trams were brilliant but transport has to evolve and be modernised at some point.

Yes you are right. It had to happen. Just hope they don't get rid of the Heritage trams.
