After 15 years of law enforcement under my belt I always noticed the one huge thing movies get wrong. No one does paperwork and the officer always goes right back to work after discharging their firearm. I guess the paperwork and reality of a shooting investigation and having to be cleared of the incident would make movies way too long.

At around 8 minutes in when Horgan talks about doing "reversals" reminds of an episode of COPS from many years ago. I can't recall where it was. The narcs had busted some guys dealing heroin out of a motel room. As they were processing the room, the phone rang. For a second they kind of stood there wondering what to do. One of the cops then answered the phone and it was someone wanting to score. So of course they said come on over, and it happened at least three times!

Love that emergency service humor. What each service gets for Xmas dinner? Ambulance: fuel court turkey sandwich with questionable mayonnaise. Police: Burger King served by a grumpy spotty teenager. Fire: Banquet bird stuffed into two more birds raped in bacon with pigs in blankets a medaly of veg, roast potatoes parsnips and carrots. Finished off with Xmas pudding, mince pies and Xmas cake with brandy butter and cream.

They are taking away civil service protection and qualified immunity (which means you were following the law and policy so the department was required to represent you and handle liability). If I wasn't so close to retirement I'd jump ship.
