I remember Black Rock from the late 80s early 1990s, but only as a mutual fund company. They're the largest private owner of residential multi-family rental properties in Sweden! When they buy an apt building they might remodel or do a little cosmetic work but always increase the rent by 50%. Once an owner increases apt rents the area property owners can petition to raise their rents commiserately. Black Rock is at least partially responsible for dramatic increases in rent here. In the US I don't know how much residential property they own, but it's a great deal. Including single family homes, even whole blocks and neighborhoods in the suburbs. At one point they were spending $80-million a WEEK buying houses. They offered over the ask price and bought a lot of houses out from under potential home buyers! 😡 The properties are bundled together in REITs, Real Estate Investment Trusts, an income generating investment. It should be illegal for big globalist corporations to buy residential properties to create REITs! It's ruining homeownership, adding to the inflated costs of homes and causing rent hikes! Of course that's their intention.

Sweden has rent control laws, usually limiting rises to 5% a year, sometimes twice. The remodelling would have to be huge before allowing a 50% increase. You might want to check your sources. Hint- QAnon is not a good source.
