They took over the banking aspects yes. But that’s a good thing actually. It means it will be allowed to prosper. I’m not a fan of black rock at all but the upside is follow what they buy. I was between a rock and a hard place when it came to my 457 retirement account. I can’t draw any money out of it yet without a serious tax penalty of about 60%. I didn’t want it invested in the stock market because I felt that it is in a giant humongous bubble with a possible 50% correction coming. But I wanted to put it into Bitcoin so my ONLY option was the Blackrock ETF which is where it All went. I feel good about it because Bitcoin is going up over time and the downturns don’t matter to me at all.I threw up a little bit when you mentioned Elizabeth Warren. Worst person for helping the little guy IMHO. Bitcoin and blockchains are the future!

I dont see how BR has infiltrated btc. Their etfs help people get exposure, black rock makes money from the fees. Self custody would be better but its a pain in the ass as well as risky. If btc is going to take over the world, then its headed in the right direction imo

It really isn't an economic hedge after being connected to derivitives and I do think it can be good for speculation after a big crash still 2-5% I would. Even fine Art is more stable as an economic hedge outside of the USD and here's why. Would you rather hold bitcoin or pay your rent, buy inflated food, pay your c-note, boat loan. So what's the difference between fine art and crypto. A way bigger percentage of people holding crypto outside of the banks are drowing in other toxic debts, in comparison. So I don't think even the new liquidty will go much further on the low volumes in crypto for some time. Crypto never actually survived through a recession yet either so I think big money will sit out some time. It could reverse crash to 100k first but personally I'm not willing to roll the dice on that. There's too many other ways to make money if you have secured liquidity and people are short selling everything.
