Keep in mind that during the 80’s people were encouraged to save due to the interest rates. Right now there’s very little incentive to save because those who are saving are watching those who are reckless taking it in. I’ve been trying to save for a home and it’s been discouraging to watch prices continue to not budge because there’s people willing to get into a mortgage where they’re paying 40% of their income. It’s insane.

I kinda think (looking at an American city street) that needing a house isn't really a thing. People can't afford it. A lot of people are in hotels or cars. Homes are unaffordable and is creating what they wanted, a permanent renting class.

Houses are more affordable than rent, but you have to be farther outside of a big city. (It is in the Midwest anyway)

Why did home prices increase December 2023 and then decrease in October 2024, so a home that is valued at 158k jumped to 176k (and higher to 183k) only to lower again by November 2024 to around 158k so a 20k+ increase only to see it deflate back to its original level (roughly speaking).

Prices ARE going down. Foreclosures are up. After a high comes a low. It's just the way it is. A 500 k house will not go back down to 100 k. It will go down but not that much. Why would a house go for 100 k ? That's what a pick up truck goes for !!! Just the way it is. I agree that wages have not kept up. I'm glad I'm not young. Would be very hard starting out now

I'm no fan of blackrock, far from it, but there is zero evidence for, or even mention of, during the video, them "seizing" anyones house like you said in the title. This kind of fake headline click baiting helps no one. What is happening with these giant investment firms and their impact (and future impact) on the public is serious business and anyone lying in their titles blatantly taking advantage of the fear the whole thing brings is not on the side of the public (i.e. their VIEWERS) either

The u. S. Government passed law that all investment companies in single family homes must foreclose on all there homes 10 percent per year till gone. Very vague law about everything. And on reit s . Still waiting on Biden to sign. Mark Moss has vid about it

It is probable that Larry Fink was involved in engineering the 2008 crash. He co-invented the Mortgage-Backed Security in the early 80's, and was the primary driver in bringing it to the attention of investment firms. These securities divided the mortgages into portfolios separated by risk of failure. It became in his interest to pump the market full of risky mortgages, since when they couldn't pay and the market crashed, the government would be forced to call on him for help (still not sure how he positioned himself that way but he did) since the securities were backed by the government. Either way the 2008 crisis was the best thing that ever happened to BlackRock, and I find it suspicious that the head of that bank also invented the financial mechanism (the Mortgage-Backed Security) which caused the crisis.

I always assumed Fink was somehow involved. He's been good at hiding himself and his company from the public; I imagine something as awful as a whole-ass recession is a matter he'd keep as close to'mself as possible. I generally assume the worst when it comes to this kinda thing.

um....who cares if you own a house or not. I owned one once, 30 years ago, and am glad that I haven't since then. I have the freedom to move when I want and live where I want without some house holding in an area until a home sells. In a bad market or a market just not favorable where I might be trying to sell mine means I could be stuck for a long time. Solution - invest in BlackRock.
