[BLACKSMITH] Easy ways to forge hardy shanks with a friend.

This tutorial should help you make hardy shanks. I made shanks for a butcher and a hardy tool in two very different ways in this video and I think they both turned out great. If your looking for a short cut video or a hack video this isn't it. with out a power hammer or a press there isn't an easy way to make tools shanks. hopefully this video is helpful and you enjoy.

I make all of my Hardy’s and the shank is always a struggle because the hardy hole in my anvil is not perfectly straight. Thank you for the helpful video, Dan. Love the How-to’s. Cheers.

That's a pain as well. That's why you need to get the taper most of the way then drive it in defo help dude. Thank you for the comment

As I don’t have access to tools like a fly press and power hammer, would there be any advantage to using a Hardy butcher to isolate the shank material? I’m thinking so, but I’m hoping your wealth of knowledge and experience could tell me if this a mistake in any way. Thank you. Cheers.
