Beautiful work, I love the lines and flow on this one. Bog oak besides being traditional contrasted with the brass SO well, excellent choice. After a lifetime of interest and reading (more recently watching videos) I've almost gotten to the point where I can play around with some stock removal knife making. Plan for a while now has been for my first project to be a sgian dubh for my daughter. Watching this was certainly an inspiration.

Beautiful knife would love to have one of those in my knife collection. Personally I would have liked a slight cross guard from a practical point of view but this is still a great dagger and you truly are a master craftsman.

This is a Scottish traditional dagger it's actually called a Skean Dhu traditionally worn in the top of the sock when wearing a kilt. there is another traditional knife in Scotland called a Dirk far longer worn in the belt under the plaid, then of course there's the more well known Claymore a broad sword also worn in the belt under the plaid. This is a very good well made beautiful Skean Dhu.
