Made it look easy. Love that you don’t make it more complicated than it should be. 👍

I love that you go stright to the point. I've found that a lot of the backsmiths on youtube go on and on about nothing, when i just want to see how the task is done. Great video! Subscribed.

Thanks man, these are so cool! Some of them look really complex, but you did a great job simplifying the process. Will definitely be using that cube twist in the near future!

If you don’t have a welder to make a double end twist wrench you can slide a snug piece of pipe over your bar and it will keep it from kinking. Thanks for the video 👍

Very simply, concise instruction. Such a refreshing change. Excellent. These things needn't be limited to ornamental work. Working on a tapered, and slightly modified bar, you could knock up a handy little set of screw detractors. Worth some further investigation. I'd always intended to play round with the techniques to get a bar for a large sized Archimedean drill. Something a couple of feet long to use when working stone, and not wanting percussive tools. This stuff can lead to drill bits, augers etc of people want to investigate

You talk more than I usually like, but you use your talking to actually explain what you're doing and your video ends up being instructive enough. Proof that preferences are subjective, but quality is objective. Good job.

One of the best twist tutorials on youtube. Is that tool at 3:26 or anything like it, ideally wider for grooving standard 6" rail spikes in one good whack, available commercially? I just don't know who or what would use a chisel so wide and thus where to look for it.

Thanks for the instruction I have done all of them except the alligator twist. Think I will make a poker with that full length. The pineapple is the one that gives me the most headaches. Trying to do it on to small of stock so it never comes out right.

I’d like each one of those made into a knife! Do you need to flux the material when you start forging on it? That would be a good video making something out of those now!
@HiltsyAdventure
@HiltsyAdventure 4 жыл бұрын
this was done most likely with mild steel (it won't harden so won't hold an edge) you only need to flux something if you are forge welding.
