You have to put a infinitesimal curve in each blade, so that the contact point is only where they meet

Maybe a slight curve to the blade may help with the rear not cutting as well as the tip?

5:16 Interesting hammer you got there! The only person I saw using this kind of hammer was Alec Steele! All other hammers are round
@colinkelley21064 жыл бұрын
I thought it may be one of Alec's hammers as well at first but I dont think it is. He sells them.
@Lippa1004 жыл бұрын
I think you should have set the blades the other way around, so that the upper blade is on the right and lower on the left side. I think your thumb naturally wants to push away from the hand so the way the blades are now you are pushing the blades apart while cutting
@Brettjnash4 жыл бұрын
Correct, I used a much larger pair for shearing wool... And other hairy animals. This does have a nice 'ring' to the steel tho
@vadimblin4 жыл бұрын

maybe an idea for a video would be to make a system(like the one on the forge) so you can the gringer with your feet that way you have both of your hands free, idk it's just an idea

What type of coal that you use?
@monkeykong62304 жыл бұрын
If you curve the scissor blades inward, like a propeller, then the edges will be in constant contact where they meet where you are trying to cut. Not too much, just a baby curve. :)

Would spring steel not lose the property due to the heat, or am I thinking of something else?
@stoneomountain23904 жыл бұрын
Yes, but once quenched, the properties return. Heat(slow cooling) and plastic stretching weaken the crystal structure that makes it springy.
