I've been asked a few times about my brass brush. You can purchase one on eBay: ebay.to/2voGOop .

It would be great if you could teach us the different methods for colouring metal, brass brushing, patinas, waxes etc. Thanks for your contribution to the well of knowledge on blacksmithing!

That is a great technique, and very timely. I've just started doing some flowers and leaves, just learning so I can really add this one to the inventory. Thanks for sharing another great vid.

Love this idea, considering using it for table legs. I have a cheap mallet with a plastic head which I have wrapped in a piece of old apron leather as an alternative.

I was able to actually get the answer by searching through a lot of your vids as well as several other well recognized smiths. Thank you for the reply. I am just starting as a blacksmith and have landed my first big commission project. So I was doing a lot of research.

+Jay Sanders okay well I'm glad you were able to find the information you were needing. let me know if you need any additional help and I will try to be better at responding to you but like I said my customers are going to come first and then my friends on KZbin. It's great to hear that you got a custom Commission and that you're just starting as a blacksmith! You will have your up days and you're down days you're really busy days and then you're absolutely dead days. Just don't forget to remember to love the craft that you are doing and let that shine through your work. Have a great evening talk again soon God bless

love it nice work how would you finish it as a stem of a grass or flower will you be showing us this
@ChristCenteredIronworks7 жыл бұрын
+grayem pepper thank you very much! These are going to be going on a project I'm working on that is a flower so they're part of the flower stem. You could finish them off if you wanted them as just a leaf by cutting it from the bar and then forging the stem down out of the rest of the material or you can make it as a flower by cutting it off and Welding a few of them together. If I think of it I may try to incorporate this same technique in practicality in the future. Thanks for the great question God bless you and have a great day today

Would you forge a cattail spike from one piece, or simply weld it up from several pieces? I can't really see drawing out the spike stem without a power hammer & fullers (and even then, it would be a lot of work).
@ChristCenteredIronworks7 жыл бұрын
Good question Brian... I will have a video on a cattail sculpture tonight!

I do enjoy your channel but I do wish you would take the time to answer more questions. I have had several but no replies.
@ChristCenteredIronworks7 жыл бұрын
+Jay Sanders I'm not sure how many questions I have missed of yours J? But I am quite a busy man as I have stated in several other videos I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week in the shop and adding KZbin on top of that is quite the task. I enjoy doing KZbin but it is not my full-time occupation and so therefore that comes first. I hope to in the future be able to do like a live Q&A video to better help answer people's questions for me. If you would post the questions that I had not answered in this comment thread and I will try to answer them for you when I get another moment to reply. God bless you and thanks for the feedback
