It's wonderful, I did not think that there is still people who knew work like at the time or I was starting my apprenticeship 56 years ago. Simply thank you, I just spent 4 hours you watching me marvel at your skill!

I've been a knifemaker for over 40 years and I think that show "Forged in Fire" is the biggest joke I've ever seen. Those people that come on that show are supposed to be experienced "Blade Smiths"? The blades they come up with are ridiculous. I wouldn't dare sell anything that they make. Terrible, terrible amateurs.

I just finished making a pair of these tongs a few days ago. I am very pleased with them and your video was very helpful. I am I'working without a power hammer (but someday soon!!) and so I did some procedures differently, but seeing your work was the key to showing me how to proceed. I'm not a knife maker, actually a friend gave me a bucket full of horseshoes, and I'm trying to figure out what all I might do with them. Now I can hold them very nicely! Thanks!

Really fantastic work. Both building the channel and the tongs. I know this is old, but slowly working my way through blacksmithing videos. For the leaves, you can put them in a 55 gal garbage can, and use a string line trimmer ar the bottom of the can. It chops up the leaves and makes smaller pieces that blow around less, and break down faster.
