Most modeling amps have to do that because each setting is so different, to avoid loud switching fro ma quiet setting to a loud setting..The only one I know that works decent is the Line 6 Helix but its very expensive. All this is part of our "pedal dance" we have to put up with...Some pedals and modeling amps have a Universal/Global setting that I think address some of these issues,, not sure though......Thanks for the comment...Ed

Nice job man. It's good to put videos like this up because trying to get a hold of Blackstar' s customer service is impossible. Sent 3 emails to them with a question with zero response. I got a ID100 and went through and thought I saved a bunch of cool patches. Woke up the next morning and they were gone. Found out they won't save unless you take your amp out of Demo mode. Had to Google and find a forum to find that out because Blackstar's customer service is apparently non existing. They are lucky I love my ID series. Lol.

As with any digital tuner, turn the tone control for the corresponding pickup off. This will prevent the tuner reacting in such a sensitive manner. Now the tuner will respond in a more linear fashion and not jump around as much.

I bought the ID60TVP a little while ago and recently added the FS10 footswitch. Mine does not work in the way described. I checked the amp was not in demo mode. If I program patches on the amp it works and the results are shown on the footswitch. BUT if I try to select the patches from the footswitch they do not work. eg Footswitch is in Patch mode, do the hold down on switch 3 and the bank colour LED does not change. Try to change patch by any of the switches does nothing. However if you do it on the amp - it is all reflected on the switch unit. Any ideas?

Nothing wrong with the tuner in this foot switch if you know what you're doing (neck pickup/tone control). The whole thing is not as complicated as it first seems. You just need to get your head round it. After that you will find it very flexible.

I had latency problems with this very pedal on my Blackstar ID150h head. Contacted both Blackstar and their parents company Korg. Both made statements saying the switches on the pedal actuate on the release of the switch, not the push down. I just couldn't compensate for this live so I've been experimenting with a midi setup. Believe it or not, an older Line 6 POD XT live pedal I have controls the midi perfectly. That being said, that's a pretty clunky way to control just the midi. I've also tried an old DigiTech control seven pedal. It changes the channels fine but has a slight delay (not as much as the Blackstar pedal though). It remains to be seen how that will perform live. I'm thinking about trying out a Tech 21 midi mouse next. Good luck!

@@nic_1320 hey thanks, i did lots of reviews and got a midi commander. Never used a midi before so needed some help coding it. Anyways, it solved all my issues. That pedal is great. I do see some room for improvements but its perfectly fine the way it is.
@nic_13204 жыл бұрын
@@sanjingitarista did you get the Melo Audio Midi Commander? If so, do you use it to just switch channels or do you use it for more? Do you have any latency issues when switching? I'm obsessively hunting for a simple, clean, midi switch that doesn't have any latency. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Tech 21 Midi Mouse and hoping for the best.
@sanjingitarista4 жыл бұрын
@@nic_1320 Yeap. I use it for everything and it works great. No latency at all and the effects work great too. One thing....Lets say you have chorus as one of the effects on your clean channel, then you switch to dirty and you want delay (assigned to another button of course) , youll have to hit it twice. Im not sure why, or if its just how i set it up, as i mentioned im a complete newbie to midi. I think it has something to do with the order of how I went from one channel to other. Second....since on Blackstar you have one knob for all those effects, it cant give you the option of lets say having 2 delays assigned to 2 switchs (long and short) ive talked to Blackstar and Midi people. It cant be done just yet. Dont mean to sound like its not a great option with all this but i really like that pedal and how it works with Blackstar.
@nic_13204 жыл бұрын
@@sanjingitarista That's some great info. It's really cool that your midi also allows some effect changes as well as channel changes. I ended up ordering the Tech 21 midi mouse yesterday. My main goal at the moment is to have a midi switch that can instantly change from one channel to the next. I really like preloading all the effects I need per channel in the Blackstar software and rolling with it. You would think that Blackstar would come up with their own midi pedal to solve the latency issues that some people are having. I've read more than a few posts, reviews, etc. that point this issue out. Why not just own it and give your users another option?

I bought one of these amps (ID-260TVP) a few months ago. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the music store to order the pedal, which of course cost extra. I really wish I would have been able to try the pedal first before buying the amp, because I'm honestly really disappointed with it. It's OK for playing around in the studio, but using it for a gig is not going to work for me. There is too much of a delay trying to switch patches and banks. It's a pain in the ass to switch back and forth from effects mode to patch mode. Also, it's easy to accidentally choose "store" instead of switching back to patch mode. I'm a guitar player, not a freaking tap dancer!

Mario Rios I don't think it can be used on the Core amps. Could be wrong. It happened once before. They do make a simpler pedal & less costly 2 button one for the Core amps but it doesn't do as much. I am supposed to get mine here a few minutes. I.D. Core 40 here too. What is odd I have been able to download some of the patches for the ID Series amps for my Core. On a couple I did get an error message but I clicked out of it & it seemed to work fine.

No. The ID core series uses the FS 11

Seems like my ID 260 loses it's memory when you either power the amp off or change to different banks ? I know I'm storing (following the instructions) the presets properly. Anyone else having this issue ? Thanks.
