Speaking of software, The ID60 (thanks to a software update) allows the Simulated line out and aux in on the rear to be used with headphones (I use a headphone amp [£10 one] BUT also allows it to now be used as an effects loop :) so much functionality for so little a price

Nice Demo! I own the Combo Version, still struggling to EQ it, because the ISF (and the TVP) gives you so many tonal options. But i think now i've found a setting i like. The Amp is very versatile and the Emulated Output is quiet good.

Can I use the Blackstar TVP ID 60 HEAD without any speaker cab plugged in or connected and just use the FX send in to cab sim like the mooer rader pedal?
@irvan36mm6 жыл бұрын
Awesome review! The only thing holding me back from getting this head are the outputs. They are only for 8 ohms- nothing else. Just like the Marshall Code100H. It would be great if Blackstar designed this with speaker outs and selectable ohms. Much more flexible and you can use almost any speaker cab you wish. Otherwise,I’d get the HT100 head

It's 1x4ohms minimum.

Isn't the ISF feature on this amp redundant If you already have the options to choose tube emulation 6L6 or EL34 or whatever to mimick the Ämerican"or "British"sounds?
@mattriffmaster8 жыл бұрын
hey dude! err the valve choices only work when the emulation button is on and what ever you choose gives you the output and sound of that valve that you choose so for example if you choose 6l6 and american tube using the ifs you can voice it more to the american side to dial in a sound you want so they kinda work together instead of one another hope that made sense dude thanks for commenting \m/

A good amp has only one disadvantage: the amp doesn't have an FX loop
@robinmeng3 жыл бұрын
LINE IN and EMULATED OUTPUT can be change to fx loop in settings
@floydhendrix43993 жыл бұрын
@@robinmeng OK thanks. That wasn't obvious at first glance. And that's why I unfortunately didn't buy the amp .....
@jackboulter48667 жыл бұрын
I know someone commented this in the other video, but there is an effects loop. You have to connect it to the software and then the Emulated Output can be used as a 'Power Amp Out' and the MP3/Line Input becomes a 'Power Amp In'. And when the effects loop is activated the USB on the front panel doubles as a MP3/Line Input. I was told this by Blackstar themselves. Just figured that i would put it to rest once and for all. BTW great video and i love the amp and I am definatly getting one once I get the money.! its phenomenal!! Could you tell me what kind of cab you are using? And what is the minimum Ohms that the cab allows?

I've have this amp. The sound is amazing but there are some issues. If you want to play with a pedal loop you ll have problems when you'll change the clean for a drive patch. I've tryide many differences entry and the best way is use the fx and mp3 as sound in. But the quality of reproduction on mp3 entry is too poor. Also the OD1 and OD2 is very very similar. I can't see any difference.

It's really nice.. especially when you add the right pedals to it. I use a delta lab MD-1 metal for more heavier stuff (BFMV, Metallica etc..)a Boss DS-1 for the more medium stuff like three days grace and a dark matter for the older 80s style like acdc with a Jackson V for my metal, schecter for the more hard rock and a strat for the older stuff.. but that blackstar 100-tvp.. is a mist have.
