So what can you say about this amp after a half of the year? Did you have any problems that people talk about? Thanks.

@@anywhere_19 been using it since 2018, not a single problem. It hisses sometimes even when I'm not playing and the guitar is connected, but maybe that's because of the cable.

I got one of these at Christmas and really only got round to using it since lockdown started. It's brilliant. I use it with an Epiphone Casino, which I've always found versatile, but this amp has unlocked a range of of sounds that have really given new life to the guitar. Initially I thought it was a bit fussy, but you quickly get used to the functions and it's a lot of fun to experiment with. I've yet to use it with my laptop as I'm scared that if I go down that rabbit hole and start to record on Mixcraft, I'll lose touch with reality. In short, it's a superb little unit and unbelievably good value for money.

@Seamus O'Dork, thanks for taking time out to draw attention to an unforgiveable oversight. Sadly, I have a bad habit of failing to anticipate fastidious pedantry and should, of course, have said something like: "The id Core 2's pre-loaded digital fx package enabled me to thoroughly exploit my Casino's natural tones, but also enhanced the user experience such that it sounds like an entirely different instrument. In addition, when saddled to my DAW, I can access (BUT NOT UNLOCK!) previously unavailable sounds and textures. This has been a hugely enjoyable and unexpected journey." I hope this meets with your approval, but I'll be happy to run any future comments by you for a sense check. PS Is Comic Book Guy based on you, by any chance...? Just a thought...

Something funny happened yo me with this amp. I bought one , but of 20 watts , online. So they sent me the amp , i used it for a week , And sounded amazing. So one day , i search the in for a pedal and doesnt have it. So i realized that they sente a 10 watts amp. I didnt realized at all. So i called the store and changed it. But sounds really , really good.

@Justin Ford Yeah. The hiss sound is constantly present. Regardless of the volume. It is not heard while playing, but in silence it is annoying. Sounds like old not tuned radio.
@alko1m
@alko1m 4 жыл бұрын
@Justin Ford it don't goes away, but it is pretty silent so your play is much louder. Loudness of noise do not depend from volume or gain regulators.
@kingthunder2801

@@alko1m personally, I never had any hiss, I use the newer noise gate on the V3, it's more controllable, than the V2. Usually I only get hiss when I have to much gain, as with any amp.

I had the Mustang v2 III (1x12 100W) for a few years. Decent amp. Anything past 4 on the volume, it was totally just a wall of fizz. The cleans were amazing though, I have to say. Anyway, go for the Fender if you just want some cool cleans, go with the blackstar if you want the best of both worlds. But don't expect an amazing gigging amp out of either one of them.

All you need is a third hand to switch between the different effects. Unfortunately, your feet can't help for nothing but standing.

These have a really annoying external power brick, that is easy to step on or accidentally unplug, and that completely ignores the whole idea of a combi amp (that it's only ONE device you need to worry about). It's a really good practice amp otherwise, and modding the power brick to live inside the cabinet, and moving the input to use a C13 socket is not very difficult, and worth the time and the effort, IMO.

It doesn't have an effects loop but you can plug any pedals in the front between your guitar and the amp.
