What if you just clean and empty the original grease trap more often?
@JohnKoutsavlis Жыл бұрын
Instead of going through all that nonsense try lining the drip trap with the disposable aluminum liners that Blackstone makes and dispose of them more often. I would like to see the mess your full bucket makes when you spill that!

Although those are cheap they now make a silicon one that is dishwasher safe and they sell them in packs of 2 so, you can just empty out one throw it in the dishwasher and put the clean one in, and just keep rotating them in and out. I think they are only $10 for 2 of them. Although his mod is cool, I just can't see spending that kind of time or money for something like that.

I'm not that motivated I just empty it each time

Seems like a lot less work if you just empty the grease trap when you are finished cooking. This was a solution in need of a problem.

Like below, just clean the trap or toss the AL trap before you roll or move it. Not a problem. If installed and maintained properly, there is no issue.

Brilliant design - your finished product is out of my price range, but definitely a great idea!

Thanks for the feedback. Curious, What price would you pay for it? We are trying to find a price people are willing to pay, but not cut on quality and still make it worth doing.

Wouldn't it be easier if you just removed the grease tin from the back of the griddle before you tried to move it.

This is a great idea, thanks for sharing. Get an arbor press, it will make the dimple step much faster.

I have a problem that when I take the grill cover off, it knocks the grease trap off. I temporarily wired it on. I like your idea, and you can see the grease level in the can from the front.

How to buy one?

I'm fairly sure the silcon step is unnecessary as the rubber gasket goes on top. The tightening of the lower "nut" compresses and seals the fitting. Might save you a step and yes the silicon step will work.

OR just instal a hook on the back and hang the bucket on the hook and let the grease drip right into the bucket. You are welcome. BOOM!

Blackstone dropped the ball on this design. That grease catcher shouldn't be loosely hanging off the back where it can EASILY be knocked off/splash/drip. Nice recovery on your part, doing their work for them!
