Actually these guys were responsible for bringing auto-tune back. It's in half of this album. You can clearly hear it in the chorus and when they say no diggity. The difference is they had actual singing ability and used it for flavor and not to hide the fact they cant sing or flow.
@danieltoader26715 жыл бұрын
no autotune is wrong you dont know
@AtomicDogg02135 жыл бұрын
Yes autotune is right I do know. It just wasn't called that then. It was an effect patch which copied the sound of an actual physical talk box used by Roger Troutman aka Roger and Zapp. Zapp being Roger's voice through the talk box. It still did the same thing. It took the incoming sound and allowed the user to change the key it is in.

"No Diggity" is such a timeless jam! This track brings back so many great memories of the '90s. Blackstreet really knew how to blend smooth R&B with that catchy beat. It's impossible not to nod your head and groove to this song. Every time I hear it, I’m transported back to those days of MCM music videos. Classic vibes!

hahaha....oh dear...This is a pretty cool song, but that comment couldn't possibly be more egotistical and self-indulgent....Yes, clearly one's class and style is determined by something arbitrary like their taste in music....Also, not to mention you just conveniently made such an association with this song, simply because it is a song you like, so you can have an excuse to feel smug. "HURR DURR I have so much class, because I listen to Blackstreet...OH I'M SO CLASSY...People with differing taste in music can't compare to my class!!!111!1!!11!!"

I have danced and partied to these tunes. The 90s and early 00s was the best decade to be a teen. Sucks if you are a teen now, you have missed out on the peak times of R&B and Hip Hop. I feel sorry for y'all millenials
@dansom32239 жыл бұрын
+sean boyce When was the last time you heard hip hop songs without "I got money in the bank" on the radio like all day long. When was the last time you heard feel-good songs without the excess ringtones, gadgets and women. Don't worry I will wait!!! On another note good music still comes out true, but unlike back in those days, I don't have to go looking for it, the radio brought it to me. Thats hardly the case these days.
@dansom32239 жыл бұрын
...I agree with you bro, No doubt good music is still out there. Its just that the Top 40s and 100s is what the clubs played back then and that still is the case, but what is considered Top has dramatically changed, if it doesn't have money, hoes, clothes and ringtones it hardly is a Top these days, at least that seems to be the standard. I like Kendrick's music too, I have been a fan since Section 80 but I had to go looking for section 80, it didn't come to me. Lets just hope he sticks to his roots and doesn't switch to satisfy the current demand. The fact that me and you can have this civil discussion about hip hop shows you where we belonged. 90s is where its at!!

The flow in this is unmatched in any R&B. Every bar hits perfect, no words clumsily pushed in... every generation thinks their music 'was better' but this would be up there in the all time HOF.

I'm telling you. You're 16, just spent $400 to put a CD player in a car worth $700. You drive around suburban Kansas City with this song blaring. This is being a teenager in the 90s in its essence.

Dr. Dre is arguably the greatest rapper/producer of all time. His new album in 2022 is pretty damn good. His style is crazy now. Never heard Dre like I have in his new album the Contract. The dude has created beats for thousands of hits and he is still dropping good music. Definitely the most intelligent rap artist. He sits back and watches where things go in the industry and then he strikes with real rap making all those mumble rappers bow down. The man has observed for years. Real OG!

Technically he doesn't need to work again, he became a billionaire after selling his Beats by Dr. Dre headphone technology to Apple.
