Hi Kim - Thanks for watching! Josh is using one of our 10" Double Row tambourines with a Calf Head. Model is TC1, featuring a combination of Bronze and Chromium jingles. The same tambourine is also available with a Remo synthetic head, model TC1S.

This is a Great Instruction Video. You are Dope. Are You hip to Paulinho De Costa? Great Percussionist with many ppl but Sergio Mendes & Brazill 66 was who I saw him play live with back in the early 70's & he would come out by himself & do a Pandero/Tambourine Solo. Kilt it! Who makes that tambourine? It sounds so good. I started playing in a Baptist Church a Sunday ago & I have a 1/2 circle tambourine & a mounted tambourine but I need a Church Tambourine. A tambourine with a head &I would like to purchase a Good one such as Yours. I'm in Los Angeles. Any idea?

Hello Marina - thanks for watching! This is a Black Swamp Percussion tambourine, model TC1. You can purchase online at Steve Weiss Music or Percussion Source. You can also travel to Pro Drum in Hollywood. They may not have this model in stock, but can order for you.

Should the tambourine be played on the down/bass beat or on the high beat.
@BlackSwampPercussion3 жыл бұрын
Hello - in rock/gospel/pop music, the tambourine is usually played on the "off beats": 2 and 4 or up (high) beats. In an orchestral setting, tambourines can be used in various rhythmic/musical passages, as opposed to a more time-keeping effect.
