Training and Development in the K-pop Industry (did that in 2022 before being announced as a member of Blackswan) Debut: first public appearance and performance as an Idol instead of a trainee Trainee: If an individual is in training and has not yet been officially announced as part of a group, they are referred to as a trainee. Idol: A member of a K-pop group, engages in group activities like performances, fan meets, concerts and other events. Difference between Aria and Sriya: Sriya became a k-pop idol in 2022 while Aria was announced as a member of xin in 2023 While both Sriya and Aria are groundbreaking as Indian K-pop idols, Sriya is recognized as the first because she was the earliest to debut in a South Korean group.
