My man Chris ❤ you literally changed my life. In both personal and professional level. Personal : I am an assertive and my relationship with my mom was not good before. After reading your book and consuming your content in videos, I controlled myself and changed a lot. Labels work on my mom insanely crazyy. And now I am happy with my mom. Professional : I started an agency and struggled a lot to get clients. At last I booked a meeting with a prospect and I was very nervous (I don't have sales experience) I made him talk and used - Accusations, Labels, and got That's right from him and he didn't even checked the presentation. He said, send a demo and you will have payment. Literally that was crazy for me haha it feels like now I can successfully throw the presentation in the GARBAGE. Gathering money to take your advanced courses. Thanks a lot Black Swan group and Chris Voss for all the free Value 🎉❤

What he says about handwriting is REAL! Your body's muscle memory reads each letter with it's own unique character, but goes to sleep feeling the same reps of smooth plastic rythmic keystrokes or thumb touches on your glass phone screen. You get a deeper connection when you hand write. From your body. It has to move in ways it may have forgotten lately and that sparks fresh neural connections or reopens old bridges mentally between ideas.

I am a designer, I've often thought that in dispute or negotiation the parties instead of competing, trying to defeat each other, should work together to resolve the problem as in a design collaboration. And here it is, this is what it looks like, with bells on too. Thank you.

I'm not a massive fan of these self-help videos (nothing against Mr. Voss), but in this one Voss proves to be extremely effective. First, he caught the life-clinging tendency of the kidnapper, and then, seeing that the kidnapper wants to convey an "I don't care if I live", Voss then puts it immediately against him "Then how can I depend on any word you give me, if you're suicidal. Yeah right, I will send you a car, you will kill the hostage and then exit yourself. I need to talk to someone stable, rational. Because I want to help you, but I can't help you if you can't be helped."

It's interesting to see Chris play the negotiator, because his angle of questions and the way he appealed to emotion and logic was very interesting. It's a shame the host was so focused on just not engaging with him at all and just focused on the timer, which isn't how a real person in that scenario would react. Watching Chris actually talk to someone who would engage with him in that role would be incredibly interesting.

Who knows if I could calmly respond this way if actually faced with this test, let alone the real situation... I wonder how affective or ineffective this response to "I need a car in 60 seconds or she dies." would be: "Hi my name's James." "I don't care what your name is, give me the car in 60 seconds or she dies.." "What's wrong, with 6 years.. and she lives?...

Hey, there is something i didn't understand. should i use them just on important negotiations like buying something? Or should i use them entire day and my daily life? I couldn't find a way to use in a normal day for some techniques Sorry for my bad English :D
@NegotiationMastery
@NegotiationMastery Жыл бұрын
These are conversational skills. If you practice them everyday throughout the day in any conversation or even mental reps while watching tv, they will become natural to you. So when those important conversations and negotiations come up you will be better and see better results. Start with the Quick 2+1. (Labels, Mirrors, Dynamic Silence)

Sooooo RUDE when a host who is interviewing a guest looks down for longer than 2 seconds while the guest is talking.( UNLESS they Tell the guest in advance "I'm writing down what you say, I'm listening")... They clearly show that they aren't listening carefully because they aren't interested...!! ie the one with the glasses
